I found it refreshing to NOT have a contractor try to force their solution on me. In the end, we decided on a patio that was part of an overall strategy to address the back yard swampland, meaning it required the rerouting of sprinklers, sump pump drainage, and gutters... all for about the same cost as the smaller patio I had previously agreed to. Not only is the patio BEAUTIFUL, but the yard is successfully draining and drying. Julio's communication at every step of the process was punctual and professional, including follow-ups after the job was done. There have been multiple headaches with buying this house, so I am DELIGHTED to have found someone I can trust with the quality of their product and their concern with their customer. "It’s been almost one year now, and I’m overdue in writing this review for Ground Effects. First of all, I’d like to say that the entire experience was really seamless and painless. Once we decided on what we wanted Mary, Josh and the crew got busy. The patio took several days to install and Josh and his crew worked really hard and did everything right. No pavers were laid before the foundation was really good and solid, and I mean solid. They were also able to replace some bricks and fix my front porch steps, which were installed poorly in the beginning when our house was first built. Josh made it look much better. I’d also note that they were able to go the extra mile for us, and fix an asphalt depression near the garage where it bordered the patio. But they didn’t just fix one spot. They corrected the entire problem in front of our garage and did a really good job. Overall, we love the patio! Everyone who sees it comments on how wonderful it is even, Amazon and UPS. Our friends and family whom I had described this project to before construction have all said that it came out much better than they expected or imagined. It has transformed the front of our house, we spend a lot of time on it now in the mornings and evenings and we are thrilled. "I was looking to remove an old paver patio and replace a poorly constructed concrete step on an outdoor patio and found Salzano Custom Concrete via Google. CJ Salzano himself came to the house to review the project and I was extremely impressed with CJ, his professionalism, how he took the time to walk me through all options without pressuring, and was very responsive answering all of my questions. The quote was reasonable (we obtained four quotes) and included demo/dump fees for all of the removed pavers and concrete, which some other companies tried to have me do on my own instead of using their own teams. His team was able to start the project within a week or so of signing the contract and they worked carefully and quickly. My wife and I are very happy with our new stamped concrete patio (and step) and highly recommend Salzano Custom Concrete to anyone looking for a serious, well-respected company that does great work and has the reviews to back it up."
