"Excellent company! We had a residential solar system installed in 2014. We started having problems this year with reduced production, and any rain would knock the system offline for several days, up to a week or two. The company we used was one of the many fly-by-night companies that flooded the valley during the solar boom. Like most, the company went bust. We had a great warranty, but the warranty doesn’t do much good if the company is long gone. Many of our neighbors had solar systems installed after ours and they all used Today’s Energy Store. They are all very satisfied with their systems and recommended we contact Today’s Energy Store for potential repair. Today’s Energy Store also has a second company, Solar RX, that is dedicated to system repairs. Mark, the owner, came out to evaluate the problem and came out two more times to discuss repair options. The wiring on our roof was a mess and many of the connectors had failed. One option Mark offered was to repair the wiring problems they could find, but we would most likely have continued problems in the future. A second option was to replace all the wiring and convert our DC system to AC, which is more efficient, by installing micro converters on the panels and removing the large inverter in our garage. That is the option we selected and had four additional panels installed at the same time since the original installer undersized our system. The price for the conversion and additional panels was fair and the panels that Today Energy Store sells, Sun Powe, are a much higher quality than the cheaper Trina panels that our original installer used. After Solar RX completed the repairs, they found that some of our panels were not producing, and others were producing very little electricity. Mark did some research and found that Trina had problems with panels they sold during the period when our system was installed. Solar RX sent a technician out on three separate occasions to take pictures, get serial numbers and document output readings. Solar RX contacted Trina, confirmed our panels were still within the manufactured warranty period, filed a warranty claim on our behalf, provided all the documentation and pictures and persuaded Trina to replace all 36 of our original panels. The effort Solar RX expended to have Trina replace our panels under warranty was amazing. Trina replaced the panels but would not cover that install costs. Solar RX installed the 36 new panels for a very reasonable cost. When all was said and done, we ended up with an entirely new, much more efficient system, with additional capacity, for a very fair price. We couldn’t be happier with the service provide by Solar RX. Kudos to Mark, the owner, who came out to explain the problems and solutions and helped with the work; Justin the technician that we worked with on multiple occasions who is the consuamte professional, friendly, very knowledgeable of solar systems and a very hard worker; and Lynne the Project Manager who worked with us diligently by phone and email, answered all of our questions and quickly responded to concerns. We highly recommend Today’s Energy Store / Solar RX to anyone that is considering installing a solar system or has a system that needs repairs."

"Well as usual I looked on Angie's list and happen to see a special for the cleaning by lightning Pool Solutions and thought I would give them a call first on my list of calls for the job. I called them and spoke to Dean and set up a day and time for him to look at the pool. Dean arrived a day or two later as we arranged and was right on time. I took him in the back to see the pool and he measured and we talked. I asked a lot of questions and Dean was great he answered everything I asked in detail and we spent around 20/30 minutes talking. I could have talked with him for hours he's really a cool guy and knows his stuff. We discussed price and he was in line with what I expected talking to all the pool guys at the stores. I was convinced he was the guy but I wanted to do a little research and told him that I would call him either way. I called the next day and cancelled all other estimates I had lined up. Let me add that during our talk he told me about Robert who was going to do the job and the story of how they started and you got the feeling that these guys build a business on honesty and doing the best possible job. So we set a time for Monday 3/13/17 between 8am/9am On Monday Robert showed up right on time and we talked. It was like talking to the same guy (Dean) your dealing with two guys that are great and the I didn't know at the time but the best was yet to come. He started I offered him something drink and went in the house and would pop out from time to time. I don't like hovering over a working man but like to see what's going on. He looked up and smile and if I had a question he stopped and answered it. Well after the Job was done I came out and we went into the back to see the completion and I was amazed and my wife couldn't believe that was our pool. It's Wednesday noon now and the pool has just completed filling up. My wife and I go in the back and just stare at the pool and can't believe it looks as new as it did 17 years ago. I want to thank Dean and Robert for the great job and great customer service. Sorry for the long review I just wanted to give people my story of my experience with Lightning Solutions and why if you need pool work these are the guys to call. They do everything that your pool would need not just the type of work that I got so give them call and see if I'm not telling the truth. 17 years old looks brand new. "John" called to ask if it was okay if the repair person came a little early (by about 15 minutes) and I said certainly it was okay.  The man who came, and I'm afraid I didn't get his name right, but it was something like "Herve" was amazingly kind and courteous.  He did everything as far as I could tell that the "deal" said he would.  His English was maybe a bit limited, but it did not seem to matter because he just knew what he was supposed to do.  He replaced a tile that had fallen off the roof; he secured others and caulked cracked tiles.  After he had put everything on the truck to leave I remembered that I wanted him to also look at a chipped part of my patio ceiling that I thought might be caused by a leak.  (He was inspecting the roof, not my ceiling).  Right away he pulled off the ladder and went to work looking under the roof tile where I was concerned. He took a picture to show me it wasn't very bad at all and really didn't need much attention.   He then caulked a small area that appeared might (or could) have a problem and used a longer staple to secure part of the paper or mat under the tile.  All with a smile.  John, too, the contact person, seemed to be very accommodating and courteous.  It was just a pleasure to deal with a company who showed up and actually did what they were supposed to do without any hassle or grief.  I thought they might try and use the deal as a way of telling me I had all kinds of problems with my roof and it would cost me a bundle.  No way!  I will use them again and recommend them to my neighbors.
