"Jordan and his helper were exceptional. Jordan was polite, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about the products he was installing. It was a great pleasure working with Jordan. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a pleasurable experience with the installation of five windows in a door. At first we were expecting it to be a nightmare but Jordan made it into a dream. Window Depot is very lucky to have an employee like Jordan representing their company."

"Our job was to install ceramic tile in a bedroom and bathroom. Matthew did an excellent job, being very careful in setting the tiles so perfectly and so uniformily . He was a very pleasant man to have work in our home. He finished in the amout of time he quoted to us. We would certainly hire him again, and recommed him to others..."

"I inquired to US door n more last April 2025 and Camille assisted me. She was very knowledgeable. I was hesitant to do things online, but they went out of their way by sending me actual photos of the doors and even stain samples. I placed the order and, after 7 weeks I received the door of my dreams. Highly recommended!"

"Adam was prompt, knowledgeable and the install work was high quality. Adam has a lot of background knowledge and experience with commercial and residential door and windows installation. I felt comfortable having him on the job with little to no supervision, which was great to be able to continue to go about my day. If we were to renovate again or purchase a new home, Adam and his tan would be on our list of subcontractors to rehire."

"Went great and was a great experience from the sales man to the installation. The salesman wasn’t pushy, didn’t try to up sell us but listened to our needs and reasons for updating. We replaced all our windows that were the original 40 year old aluminum single pane, the original sliding glass door, and had a storm door replaced with a solid door. The installation team was very professional, courteous, and the workmanship looks flawless."

"I had original windows and patio doors replaced with new hurricane windows, easy hassle free deal from start to finish. They custom ordered and installed 12 windows and a patio door for a fair price. Took their time and answered our questions before and after, polite and punctual installation crew stayed late to finish, highly recommend!"

"I called for an estimate and I was given a great deal on replacing the broken springs on my double garage door.  The repairman was able to come within four hours and our garage door is working great!  There was no pressure, and I appreciated the quick turnaround and ready and willing response to what my needs were.  I would definitely use them again--very down to earth and I felt they were honest and more than fair with the price.  I feel that as an Angie's list member, I get more responsive contractors and better competitive prices and service
than if I just picked someone out of the phonebook.  Because they want the business this site brings, they are more willing to be
customer-friendly and seem genuinely interested in helping the customer instead of looking down on them."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Palm Harbor, FL

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
