"<p>This was over a year ago, so I'm not remembering all the exact details, but I purchased a coupon on Angie's List for a Home Theater tune-up/evaluation.  I don't remember the gentleman's name, but he came out and took a look at my system.  What I really needed was to have my Universal Remote re-programmed because I had installed a new A/V receiver and some of the functionalities were not working on the remote.  He came out and tried to solve my problems, and worked very hard at it, but was unable to fix the problem.  He suggested I contact the A/V receiver manuf. and download some files and to call him back, both of which I did.  He did return, begrudgingly it seemed to me, but he was still unable to fix the problem.  At that point he said the only solution was to switch receiver brands, and persuaded me to purchase a new Denon model that had ALL the features of my old receiver, including the ability to have wireless internet access.  I paid him the $400-500 for the new receiver, which he then installed and programmed.  Everything works fine, except the unit requires HARD WIRED internet, not wireless, which is totally useless to me, but I didn't discover this for several weeks.</p> <p>Part of the reason for my poor rating was his attitude.  It was all very friendly and professional at first, but when he couldn't resolve the problem on his initial visit, things changed.  Granted, he had a head cold, but he was constantly being interrupted by phone calls which made it very difficult to communicate clearly with him because were always being interrupted.  Something was happening that was aggravating him, and this carried over to his work.  He seemed like he couldn't wait to get out of here.</p> <p>Look, we all have bad days, and maybe he just had several while working here.  But I paid WAY more than I should have and still don't have the system I want. </p> <br />"

I like the fact that I can check, arm and disarm the system remotely. I receive a text very quickly every time the alarm is armed or disarmed. There is a monthly fee of $39.99 and the basic cost of the kit was $99.00, a motion detector, panel, camera equipped motion detector, 4 door alarms, a panic button key fob, stickers and signs."

"We started having electrical problems and Jeff determined that it was our 45 year old main panel that was causing them.  He made temporary repairs and then took care of everything necessary to get the job started, including getting the proper permits from the city and scheduling all appointments that were required with city inspectors and power company technicians. <br /> Problems arose due to specific city construction/electric codes regarding the grounding of the new system and also due to power company requirements for the location of the new panel box.  Initially, these factors were going to require unsightly conduit to be run around the entire perimeter of the house from one side to the other.  In addition, the panel location was going to have to be moved, which would have required removing some existing eight foot long framing studs, installing new studs, removing and reinstalling two other boxes (telephone and T.V. cable) that were in the way, and the removal of a large amount of stucco to accommodate this work. <br /> Jeff had numerous conversations with both the city and the power company and got them to agree to solutions that resulted in not having to run the outdoor conduit and not having to relocate the panel box.  He completed the work and made sure that it passed inspection. <br /> Jeff was great to deal with.  He was knowledgeable and personable.  He returned all of my phone calls in a short amount of time.  He kept me informed on the progress of the job.  He always showed up at the scheduled time.  In total, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to use him again in the future. <br />"
