I had just bought an almost 100 year old house and there were all sorts of imperfections on the walls, some of the windows and trim were peeling etc. Dan patched all of the cracks and nail holes in the walls, sanded anywhere the doors/windows/trim were peeling and then put fresh paint on everything.  He is definitely a perfectionist and didn't miss a single detail. The end result was fantastic, it looked like a brand new house!  Dan was always responsive, finished the work in the time he had laid out at the beginning, and was very professional. "Although we caught Steve and Jason Swingle at a convenient time on their schedule, the speed of their response to our inquiry was amazing.  We called Steve at 10:30; he was at our house by 11:00, and we agreed to his estimate by 11:15.  It turned out that Jason planned to finish another job that morning, so we arranged for him to do ours that same afternoon.  He arrived shortly after 1:00.  We were extremely impressed by his thoroughness.  We had neglected our patio for several years, and grit and grime had worked deeply into the brick.  Jason did at least three full wash applications, at the end of which the brickwork looked nearly as good as new.  He also provided some useful suggestions for maintenance.

"Troy did a nice job, especially with the carpentry part of the job.  Troy found new railroad ties to replace parts that were beyond repair, but the lumber was hard to find because of its dimensions.  Troy finally found them in Madison, bought them after calling me to discuss price and quantity and then hauled them back.  The old rotted pieces were difficult to remove but Troy kept at it and did a really nice job installing the replacement pieces.  The repair work to the other rot was decent but would have been better if framed out temporarily while the concrete dried.  I told him though that I wasn't looking for perfect on that part -- just good enough to stop further rot and fill in the holes.  I had purchased a 4-hour deal through Angies List and Troy was trying to get done within the allotted time.
