I was sold on Universal being a certified CertainTeed product installer. It is a superior product than what is sold in general big box stores such as Home Depot. Day of 2 layers of old shingles removal, inspector Abe showed me the sins of others. The base wood was circa 1938, and needed to go. Not unexpected however they worked with me to arrange a loan to support the extra work estimate. As well my chimney was sadly in need of professional pointing beyond the shoddy patch jobs done by prior owners. I was assigned a project manager Ben, that kept all the work moving at pace as outlined. The workers were all responsible and respectful of me and my plants and property. "I read other reviews for Townsley Contracting before calling Jim and I was not disappointed. He was both responsive and very helpful. We set an appointment for an overall check on the health of my roof which had been prompted by a new leak.  Jim arrived promptly at the day and time we had agreed upon.
He assessed the roof and also determined the cause of my leak which included digital photos of the various issues he found. At my request, he provided several levels of recommendations ranging from the "let's stop this leak now" to "what would a roof replacement look like?"
I appreciated Jim's low key approach to finding the right solution(s) that fit my budget. He did not try to hard sell an immediate roof replacement and even suggested some of the medium repairs could wait until I was ready to replace the roof in a year or two.
Based on my experience, I have already asked Jim for quotes on additional work and fully expect that he will be on my shortlist of go-to contractors.
