"He seemed like a nice enough guy.  He inspected the cracks in the foundation and floor and gave an idea of how he thought would approach the situation but also said that he would have to come out and do some more tests before he could give an honest estimate.  He didnt bring any inspection tools with him, and It didn't seem like foundation repair was his area of expertise (after getting a couple of other estimates).  so, we ended up going with someone else.  He was honest about not really knowing how to approach the situation without doing more tests, and I appreciated the honesty.  I would try him again if we had do have some other kind of remodeling or construction work done.
