"UPDATE 8/1: The guy will tell you everything you want to hear,but then you find out he never called your insurance company,didn?t give them a bid,never talked to them about my shingles,but told me that they didn?t make my shingles anymore and talked me into using a different color,then I find out you can get my shingles everywhere,so now I have a roof with two different colors and two different sizes,my insurance said they never talked to him or have anything from him,only thing he did with insurance is send them a bill.now instead of fixing it he says he?s going to put a lien on my dads house,even though my dad didn?t sign anything,because he didn?t even bother to speak to owner of the home,but I told him I don?t want your money,I have it here waiting for you,I just want same color shingles,like I would of got if he would of done his job and just wait to talk to insurance,but he didn?t want to wait just wanted the money,so be careful when hiring him,he will tell you ,what you want to hear ORIGINAL COMMENT: Nice guy,I was hesitant to give him the job,even in my messages,you can see, where am like I?ll just do it myself,but he was very good at making me believe that he would do, what he said, he said he does all the insurance work ,he talks to them all that stuff,he started work right away,and right away he brings me different color shingles and different size and proceeds to tell me that he could not find my shingles anywhere, so he talked into using them, well if he would of told my insurance,then they would have approved new shingles, he obviously had these shingles lying around his shop so he thought hey I can make more money by not having to buy material.so on one hand he fixed the leak but now my roof is two different sizes and colors and just looks horrible.just don?t understand y he didn?t even bother to call my insurance,"

"Was given price to repair the area that needed repairs and was told that repairs would take place the following week,. representative took a piece of old material with to match, gave me his business card and said he would get back to me. this was on Friday morning. I was expecting a call back on Monday at least by the end of day. I called Representative on Tuesday and was told a match was found and repairs would be done the next day which was Wednesday. No one showed up on Wednesday so I called Representative at 4:30 pm and left a voice message. I tried to call again on Thursday at 1:30 pm and left another voice mail. Still did not get a call back. Friday morning at 8:30 am I again tried to call and got voice mail. This time I did not leave a message. Representative has not attempted to contact me. "

If you need any roof, gutters, or exterior work done, give Turtle Roofing a call, and ask for Daythan! — For anyone interested in more details, I'll go a little more in depth on my experience. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Turtle Roofing, and especially Daythan Prusia. Daythan was working with a neighbor down the street, and was going by knocking on doors to see if anyone else was needing roof work done, and boy did I. My roof was old and got really beat up by the hail storms in April 2024. I immediately felt that Daythan was there to help me through the whole process, and he really did. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that, as I'm a fairly new homeowner and have never gone through anything like this. He helped me call and report the claim with my insurance company, he was there when the Adjuster came out to do his inspection, and made sure I always knew what was happening and what the next steps were. Most importantly, he was always accommodating and helpful, even when I had multiple mishaps/issues with getting the claim checks from my insurance company and getting them endorsed by and sent back from my mortgage company. I know that I must have been a real pain as it took until February 2025 to get my bill fully paid thanks to the issues with the checks, but Daythan never stopped being understanding and continued to advise me during the whole process. While I hope that I don't need to repair my roof any time soon, haha, I know that I'll call up Daythan and Turtle Roofing and they'll take care of me in no time!"
