"After nine months working with CC and many ups, downs, and moments of extreme frustration I can honestly say that we are extremely please with the end product provided by CC. In many areas the results were way beyond my expectations which are very high. We demo-ed a low ceiling sloped roof lean-to that contained our only bath and kitchen and replaced it with 2 story 10 foot ceiling camelback containing downstairs bath, kitchen, upstairs master en suite with a side balcony . They did great work on a custom open staircase hand cut from salvaged cypress and barge-board.Castillo took this staircase on at my request and it did not cost me extra. His carpenters did a great job and it has an awesome rustic look that really goes with the feel of the house. We have exposed bargeboard in a room that was not part of the reno. His tile guy did an exceptional job in both bathrooms and on the kitchen backsplash. We had 5 x 3/4 inch heart pine brought in from Georgia for flooring throughout and CC did a great job installing it. One bath has pine tongue and groove walls and ceiling to replicate the construction that was removed. We had to do some tricky maneuvering around the plumbing here and it all worked out nicely.The foundation was well built and the window framing to match the existing house its truly well done inside and out. we have a balcony off the master bedroom and here they built it out in manner that was above and beyond my expectations -- making the floor waterproof to protect the can lighting underneath.We also ended up with a fantastic floored and foamed attic for storage.

All the problems we had with the work including an HDLC issue were eventually addressed to our satisfaction by CC with full approval by HDLC. We did wish the project had been completed in less time but it did include 2 baths and kitchen and some tricky framing. I reccomend CC whole heartedly but it is important with them as well as any contractor to take a strong interest in your job, know the details of you architectural drawings, and to set a firm time-frame in the contract.

"Got the last-minute siding maintenance deal.
It was a while ago, but I remember that he rescheduled a couple of times, and then when he did come he was late and seemed irritated. He looked at the house and gave me an astronomical estimate to basically replace all the weatherboards. (I told him I knew they were in kindof rough shape, but I didn't need the whole house to be redone-- I just wanted to see if he could fix a couple of the bad ones.)  It felt like he was totally annoyed and condescending with me because my house wasn't perfect and because I live in a neighborhood that's a little rough. Seemed like he was not exactly used to being called out to an area like my 'hood.  We agreed that he could do some minimal work to at least get the value of the angie's list deal purchase. Weeks went by and nobody never called to follow up. 
Maybe he just had a bad day--everyone has one, and I understand that--but my experience was not a good one. 
I ended up calling Angie's list and they refunded my money for the deal.

"Benny and Acadian did a great job on two separate projects for us. First (early 2016), we had an old attached carport in our backyard that was no longer used as a carport. We wanted to convert it into a storage shed. He gave us a fair bid (we took 2 other bids, 1 was much higher than his and 1 was comparable). His workers were very considerate and professional when we met them. Benny was very responsive when I had questions. The project was fairly involved, because they needed to move some HVAC units out of the way, expand the size of the concrete foundation, frame the walls for the shed, wire the shed for electricity, replace the carport lighting fixture, install exterior lighting fixtures, and install and paint exterior siding to match the house. They did everything perfectly! Second (mid-2017), we hired them again a year later to replace the old railing on our front porch. We had a miscommunication with Bennie about what we wanted the replacement to look like. But Benny and his carpenter were very responsive when we realized that what his carpenter was constructing for was not what we wanted. They quickly changed course to build what we wanted and we really appreciated the quality work and professionalism. We are in the process of getting a bid from Acadian to do some more work for us!"

"I have used Adam Alan before for painting the exterior of my large home and was so satisfied I hired him for some interior work. Each of the rooms had either water marks or pealing paint due to moisture. Each problem area was carefully corrected followed by two coats of paint. His company arrives promptly, covers fixtures and floors, and cleans up. In the case of one bathroom the paint company mixed the wrong color of paint and Alan Adam worked with the paint company to correct their mistake and then repainted the bath for me.
