"When house was originally built by others, siding was not installed properly to overlap mortar joint between the brick and the siding.  Over time, and due to elements of weather, mortar cracked.  This created path for rain to get behind the brick and flow down the wall, along the top of the foundation and into the basement. Caulking was only a temp fix. <br>Contacted APEK, Inc to estimate work required for a more permanent repair.  Owner himself came to look it over.  Office personnel promptly called within days to set up appointment for crew to come match the existing siding and estimate quantity of material and other resources needed.  The office people who called were extremely cordial and very accommodating. <br>Two workers came out to perform the repairs.  They were on time, explained what they would do, and had the repair done in a reasonable amount of time.  Very good workers and acted professionally.  Along with that I asked how to repair a section of soffit that was sagging.  They told me what to do to repair with a couple screws, but was pleasantly surprised when I came out to look over the other repair work to find that they also fixed the minor soffit problem .  <br>The cost for the work performed was EXTREMELY reasonable.  I was completely satisfied with the work, and would definitely use APEK to perform work for me again! <br> <br> <br>"

"Went with Kerry roofing to replace the leaking roof and leaking chimney on my mom's house. The chimney repair went great. They redid the entire top, installed a new liner, and tuck-pointed a good portion of the wall on the house around the chimney which was in also in need of repair. No more leaking chimney! The roof didn't go quite as well as the chimney work. The actual work was done on schedule but there were issues with it after they were done. But Tony was more than happy to get things fixed. Twice I called about somethings I saw that didn't look right and he was able to answer my questions (I'm not a roofing expert, was just comparing to other roofs) and then had a guy out to fix things when he determined that yes it wasn't done right. I realize this was a complicated roof, with many steep gables, but would expect an established roofing company to be able to handle the job, so was a bit disappointed there. But I appreciate that Tony is always a phone call away and able to answer my questions and send someone out if needed. They stand by their work."

"A two man crew tore down the existing back porch steps ,created a small landing, and built the porch steps facing west into the back yard. Tore down and rebuilt a wall by the steps leading into the basement, replaced 2 support beams in the basement below, repaired the basement screen door and part of downspout by the basement screen door. Also installed a new concrete threshold at the basement entrance. Each day the crew cleaned up before leaving. The job was finished in nine days. The entire cost was $5,805. The crew did a good job and I am satisfied. I would consider using Brookside Home Improvement again."
