"We needed to have our 40-year-old bathtub converted into a walk-in shower for my elderly mother and have the bathroom flooring replaced. After an exhaustive search of potential companies, I came across Mako Shower & Bath. Shawn visited us for a consultation and gave us an opportunity to explore the different design options. He was very thorough and provided all of the information we needed about how it would be installed. For accessibility, we decided to have a folding seat and two grab bars installed in the shower. Once all of the parts were delivered to Mako, the install itself took less than a day. The installers, Kevin and Riley, did a fantastic job and we are extremely pleased with the new shower and flooring. It not only looks amazing, it addresses all of the safety and accessibility issues we had with the old bathtub and floor."

"We were doing a complete gut/remodel job on our kitchen and adding a bathroom where there was a covered back porch. My husband and I were interested in doing portions of the work ourselves, and the John Ruth company was more than willing to coordinate with us on this. We did the demo down to the studs, and they came in and took out the load bearing walls, adding support beams (with a structural engineers plan) and then proceeded to frame in the back porch. At every step of the way, when Will and Mike anticipated a problem that we would encounter when working on our part of it, they explained it to us, and were more than helpful and accommodating. In terms of plumbing, every old pipe in the house was replaced, they roughed in the bathroom according to our plans, and installed the shower pan. They also serviced our old heater and made some tweaks to the system, very knowledgeable about older homes and hot water/steam heat systems. We can't say enough good things about this company - everyone LOVES our kitchen and we loved having the guys here working. Totally trusted them to come and go with house open. They were clean and respectful, and always cleaned up at end of day. Seriously, you want this company to do work for you!"

"To begin, I want to say that my wife and I were extremely satisfied with the results of the work VKB did for us. Here are a few reasons why: 1. We initially met with our designer, Mr. Junior Wizart and his associate Sharon, to discuss the work we wanted done. Junior visited our home and walked thru and listened to what we wanted. He provided several suggestions and left to formulate their proposal. We met again the following week and Junior and Sharon walked us thru their design proposal which we were very happy with. We made a down payment and 2. Over the following several weeks, we interacted regularly with Junior and Sharon regarding the details of and the selections for each bathroom. We made a down payment on the May 28, 2019 and signed the contract on 5 June which started the ball rolling. 3. Over the next few weeks we made detailed selections for showers, faucets, floors walls, paint, etc. In some cases, our detailed selections exceeded the budget that was allowed in our signed contract, so a mod was required and adjustments made. All the changes were very easy to implement, and were completed quickly. 4. We had a walk thru in early Jul with the Project Manger, Mr. Jason Freeman, and Mr. Wizart to confirm all selections and installation plans. It was quite thorough and painless. 5. Work began on 7 Jul promptly and the Team Lead, Walter, and his team began the demo. We have an electronic door lock and gave the team their own code for the duration of the project. For 95% of the project, they worked without our oversight. They began after we left for work, and would remain on site until one of us returned from work to show us the results of the day. 6. Every day until the job was completed on August 14, the VKB crew was here working. They were very professional and very thorough. They alerted us when they needed decisions made (height of shower head, placement of body washers, etc. They also asked if they could work on a Saturday to maintain their schedule. 7. Almost every day Jason, our project manager, checked it to see if all was going well and if we had any issues. We had to make several minor adjustments to the design plan, and when we did, it was completed painlessly. The team kept the walkway into the house covered and cleaned up daily. Trash was picked up regularly and there was no need to a dumpster. 8. We were so happy with the performance of the bathroom work, that we hired VKB to renovate our kitchen backsplash. Junior helped pick out the colors and style of tile, and Jason's team did the installation in two days. 9. The entire 3.5 bath renovation work was completed and the final payment made on August 14th. We we so pleased with the work VKB performed for us that we hired them to renovate our basement that was damaged severely due to a failed sump pump and the resulting water backup."

"After replacing, painting and caulking the wood around the large window Gary decided to pressure wash the brick surface where the window was mounted and applied water sealer to the brick to help prevent water penetration. He also had the front porch and sidewalk pressure washed because it "Looked Bad". Gary also noticed a decorative air vent in need painting and had that painted as well, we suppleid the paint and there was no "Extra" charge for that work. The 15 replacement windows were scheduled late last year but due to the extremely bad weather we requested waiting until spring of this year to start, no problem with Gary. When the work started, a problem was encountered which caused Gary's crew additional work and some additional materials. There was no "Extra" added to the contract and the end result was as if there was no problem at all. They even matched wall paint to the interior walls to cover exposed areas that the trim did not cover. Leaving the best for last, the quality of materials, workmanship of installation, extra materials and labor provided was a lot more than expected. Not only is the appearance of the interior of the windows great, but the outside aluminum wrap around the windows is a "Work of Art" performed by Gary's son. Gary's team of craftsmen were great to work with,very polite, considerate of our time and space, taking care to not damage our home and cleaned up like they were never there.My advice to anyone in need of home remodeling work: "Best to Call Gary" he will go above and beyond to make sure his customer in completely happy and satisfied with his work.
