"Our fence looks incredible! They came swiftly to do the work, and we still get compliments about how great our fence looks. We liked working with Henry. The first issue arose when the fence exceeded the quote and contract that we signed. We weren’t told this until the very end of the work, which was not great to say the least by an additional 20%. We knew there was some flexibility in the price, but it would’ve been nice to say, by the way, we’ve exceeded the estimated price and expect the final price to be in this range. Lastly, we also had issues with our gate hinges and called them back 3x until it was finally fixed. It was difficult to get them to come back out even though we were under warranty, and we encountered issues with their customer service and communication. We would probably still use them again for another fence but would only communicate with Henry."

Masters Chimney & Hearth work on chimneys and fireplaces. We repair gas fireplaces and wood pellet fireplace inserts. We inspect, sweep and repair brick masonry chimneys. "While I appreciate the company's attempt to rectify initial issues, our overall experience with this solar installation was unfortunately very unprofessional. The initial installation team demonstrated a lack of respect for our property, damaging plants, leaving debris (including an orange cone), and inappropriately using our private bathroom despite a readily available public restroom on the premises. Following my initial negative review, the company offered a Home Depot gift card as compensation, which wasn't particularly useful to us. They also offered to address some unrelated roof repairs they noticed, but I questioned why these weren't addressed during the original solar installation. Scheduling follow-up work proved equally frustrating. An appointment was scheduled for Wednesday, but the crew arrived a day early on Tuesday without prior communication. While I appreciated them attempting to complete the work ahead of schedule, they left the roof partially finished overnight, exposed to potential weather damage. Furthermore, the crew damaged another plant box during the Tuesday work and continued noisy work – including banging on the roof – until 8:30 PM on Wednesday, violating DC noise ordinances that typically require work to conclude by 7:30 PM. This put us at risk of a city violation. Throughout the entire process, communication was poor and the lack of consideration for our property and local regulations was deeply concerning. While I appreciate the attempt to make things right, the experience was ultimately not ideal and left us feeling very dissatisfied."
