Monday @ 5 pm, hot water was up and running. David, the technician knew what had to be done to get the heater up and running. "Let me start by saying that we have a home warranty service. We noticed water leaking from under our furnace and didn't like the company our warranty service selected. (We suffered in 90° weather for several days.) We decided to look at Angie's List & Yelp for another company. We found rave reviews for RKM. The person who answered the phone was friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. It was refreshing. We were going to pay their service fee to have their technician come out & diagnose our problem. Ron was the technician who came to our house. He was personable, very knowledgeable, & did a great job explaining each step he took. He mentioned the Comfort Care maintenance program & explained how it worked. We purchased this service, which covered the work that he did, plus maintenance on our HVAC system for one year. He took lots of pictures of the work he did on our unit (which he included in his report). He checked our A/C compressor & cleaned it thoroughly. Ron taught us a lot about our HVAC system. The estimator arrived when expected and took the time to consider various ways to put in the new pipes; we wanted to be able to isolate upstair and downstair bathrooms for planned remodel. (We got a total of three estimates.) The office scheduler arranged for the actual work smoothly and answered a few follow-up questions. The crew arrived 20 minutes earlier than scheduled and got to work immediately. The crew lead was open to my questions and suggestions before work started and even worked in a few minor adjustments while work was in progress, for no added charge. They needed to open walls and ceiling but finished in one day. The interior and exterior were clean when they left. The pipe layout is now simpler. Passed city inspector with no issue. We arranged for drywall repair at my convenience and he did a fine job, too (included in price). I did my own painting and you cannot see any patching. Water pressure now remains smooth -- think of showering while washer or sprinklers cycle!"
