"The technician responded to a Sunday morning call to check on a lack of water coming into the house by arriving later that afternoon.  He then spent two hours testing the switch, guage and tank on the well.  When nothing conclusive was determined, he said he would return later in the week to measure the depth of the well, thinking that perhaps it had run out of water or that the pump wasn't low enough.  He returned on Thursday as scheduled, tested the water depth without pulling the pump, thereby saving me at least $700, and then found a problem in the toilet.  He addressed that and gave me some dye to use to test for further leaks in the toilet.  He suggested I put a low-water cut-off switch on the well pump and I agreed.  When he called later to schedule that job, I told him I had changed my mind, but he came by anyway to check on the toilet.  In all he spent about 6 hours at the house, talked me through each test he performed and made recommendations as to how to deal with the situation in the long term."

He arrived within the hour I had contacted his company when my furnace suddenly stopped working the day before a very large storm was to hit our area.  After finding the problem he was able to get the part and install it without delay. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"I was very pleased with my overall experience.
Our commode was leaking badly and I didn't know of any plumbers. I remembered the commercial on tv about "Angies List". I looked on "Angies List" for a plumber to hire and fix my plumbing issue. I located "tjm plumbing", he was the closest to my location. I call him and made an appointment for him to come over the next day and he was on time. When he arrived, he introduced himself to me and ask me to explain what the problem was. I showed him the commode, he took a look at the inside and as he was pulling out the flapper, (it looked rather spent), so he replaced it. He also tighten a screw on the bottom of the tank, he kept feeling of the line to see if it was leaking, and said I think that will take care of your problem, he said you might have to replace the bottom of the device that the flapper fits over (because the water kept running off and on), at least it wasn't leaking. He said to give him a call if I needed him to return, and he left. During the night it started to leak again, I found that the floor was saturated with water. I called him again, and he came right out that morning and this time he found that he had to replace the line that was rusted out and a couple of other parts. He didn't charge me anything for his time or cost of parts. I will hire him again, if I ever have another plumbing issue.
