"We contracted with S.C. Masonry to perform chimney repair and a couple smaller jobs (block repair on a side porch and bricking up our old coal chute). The work was scheduled for mid-October but was delayed for a couple weeks due to rainy weather. When workmen (Kent and Anthony) arrived they worked hard and completed all work in about 2 and a half days. Both workman were personable and seemed glad to answer any questions. Kent and Anthony worked well together and appear to be a good team. The quality of their work appeared excellent. There were a couple options regarding our coal chute: either filling it in with construction block or using leftover brick. I am glad I chose the latter option. Kent filled in the hole with a custom designed 3-D diamond design that added some character to the house - no extra charge. He did a great job matching the brick and mortar and repairing our 80 year old chimney so that it is once again solid. I think that masonry work is inherently messy work but cleanup was well done for the most part. This was a positive experience."
