"I had new gutters/down spouts/leaf blaster installed on the back and the side of house. Sean is a seasoned pro who does excellent work. He rerouted the new down spouts on the house to get the best flow of water. The wind had pulled the facia board/old gutters out on back corner of house. Sean used wood screws and secured the board back onto the house. He did a great job. I highly recommend this company for gutters or roofing. "After seeing a coupon and reading some reviews on Angie's list, I called Paul at 8:00am after the refrigerator had not been working for the past 24 hours. He returned my call by 9:00am and set an appointment time between 11:00am and 1:00pm. He arrived on time. He tested several parts of the fridge and explained that the problem was with the defroster thermometer. Went to purchase the new part and replaced it. Darrell was very methodical for the garage shelving to be installed from the ceiling of the garage. He layed out  all the parts from the box. He made sure the hinges supporting the heavy metal shelving were secure at the 2x4's.  Then proceeded on with the install of the shelving.

Once that was complete he re-positioned my peg board from being vertical to horizontal.

All went smoothly without a glitch.

I had one more item to install basketball backboard onto a pre-existing pole but, the holes didn't match up and would need to have a steel drill bit to accommodate this install. Maybe, now as a future project.

Three hours well spent on my projects.

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"The work LOOKS beautiful, but some things went wrong. First, we are just customers, not paint experts of any kind so we didn't realize the paint we got for the great price we received was really bad paint. It looks beautiful, but has no wear and tear, and no durability. Now that we know there are different grades of interior paint, what we got for the great price was definitely the lowest grade. This is very troublesome, because we were very clear the house was going to be a rental. It would have been so nice if the Paint Dr folks would have advised us to get a better grade of paint; we're disappointed. Second, we DID know enough to specifically request priming and painting of all room and closet doors - this didn't happen. As soon as we put the first lock back on the first bedroom door, the paint peeled right off and we could tell the priming had not been done. It was like that for every door. We ended up trading $650 for the garage (which we originally forgot to include), for the mistake, which was not a good trade. It took much more than $650 in our effort and cost of supplies to repaint about 24 room and closet doors. But the original mistake of the Paint Dr to not perform the job as originally bid and paid for, was really the biggest letdown, not that we had to do it ourselves, even though it was a pain. In the end, YES, the house LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. It just would have been so great when we were doing the bidding, if they actually listened when we said it was a rental. We needed, and would have paid for, higher grade paint if we knew to do that. Also, the door issue was just a bad experience that could have been completely avoided if they had just primed them all like they were supposed to be. On the garage, it had a horrible smoke smell and we decided after the original bid to ask for KILLZ to be painted throughout, over EVERYTHING. They look us at our literal word. There were eight tiny pieces of tape on some wood shelves and one L-bracket that they didn't even bother to put on the floor, they just literally painted over everything, and only one coat that wasn't even full - it was thin and you can see through. It looks like there is a white haze on the walls instead of paint. We thought that would be OK, but two weeks later we power-washed the garage floor, and it was then we discovered that white haze just wasn't enough coverage, because the smell came right back. We were pretty bummed about this as well, especially since we traded having to pay that additional $650 for the problems with the doors. To sum it up... the workmanship is not in question and the place looks very good and the Paint Dr folks were very responsive and easy to work with. They never tried to avoid us and we thought it would all work out, but it just didn't. They are not bad or incompetent or anything, but we probably would not use them again."
