"We had estimates from 4 other vendors when someone at Capco Stone and Tile recommended Rock Star to us. First off I have to say their price was the best of any of the estimates we got (by a significant amount.) We thought we could only afford granite in the kitchen but Thomas got us a good deal on the kitchen plus 3 bathroom vanities. Since we had visited several places with fancy showrooms we had gotten to the point of being comfortable with understanding the process and what we were looking for in granite. We went to Capco Stone and Tile (wholesaler that works with granite fabricators) and found a granite that we liked. They let you wander the granite aisles without any pressure. <br /> <br /> That was a treat! We much preferred that than going to another granite dealer who only allowed us to see what stone they had while being escorted by a sales person who had their own ideas of what was best for us. <br /> Rock Star does not have a fancy showroom as their fabrication shop is in an industrial area and they only do work there. Capco Stone and Tile has designers and they are more than happy to work with you for free if you want that aspect of service. There wasn't a lot of hand holding, but for us "value" (price and installation quality) were more important than bottled water and in house design centers. <br /> <br /> The Rock Star team came on the day they said they would, letting us know before they left the shop when they would arrive. The granite arrived with no damage and was put in place in about two hours. Everything looks beautiful and they were careful to not bang up our house while carrying large pieces of rock up the stairs. You can't hook up sinks until 24 hours after the granite install. We had a minor issue when we found out the holes for the faucets were just a bit too small. They had fitted the faucets but not taken into account the space needed for the drain lever. I called Thomas on Saturday morning (when they were closed) and he had his team come out first thing Monday to make the small adjustments we needed. We couldn't ask for a faster response than that. <br /> <br /> Rock Star is incredibly busy and runs a tight staff to keep prices down. Sometimes questions fall through the cracks and you will need to be persistent to follow-up. Don't give up it's worth it! Would we recommend them? Absolutely. We've already told several people about them. If you want an excellent value for your money than this is the team for you. If you're nervous and want someone to spend a lot of time with you and having an in-house design center is important then you probably need to look somewhere else...and be willing to pay for those features. Personally having the bathrooms fit into our budget was a HUGE deal. <br /> <br /> Great job Rock Star. Thanks!"

"Both properties were valued between $1.4M and $1.8M upon their completion. Sean and his team were a breath of fresh air. They were one of the few if not the only crew that came in below their bid amount. To my surprise, they even changed their invoice to reflect the lower price. They were in and out faster than scheduled. On top of that, they saved two large pieces of stone from having to be cut in half by fitting them through an external window that many said would not allow the stone slabs into the structure. I will use Sean and his team at MK Marble again and again and again if and when my need arises."

"I was living in Texas and needed a bath/shower combo to be made into a walk in shower, in our new house in Colorado Springs. Manstone was able to custom make a walk in shower to look like marble, is man made. The entire process was very easy. The communication was fantastic. If anything, I was the one who had too much going on and could be harder to get a hold of. We had an issue because of our stud placement which they had a quick and good solution for. I highly recommend working with Manstone. The installer was friendly. They gave a schedule beforehand and everything was exactly like that schedule said it would be. They met the inspector and got everything done in a timely way. I would, and may, definitely use Manstone again."

"Friendly, courteous service in the showroom, but the price was WAY too high. I was quoted $5 to $7 per square foot, installed, for the product I chose in the showroom. When I received the proposal, it worked out to $9.80/sq ft. And that was only after I asked for more detail--the first "proposal" I received was a single number. No breakout of labor or material, just the bottom line number. It sounded high, so I asked for a further breakout. I then received single numbers for material and labor, but no breakout of different types of materials (flooring, underlayment, baseboards, etc.) or different tasks involved in the labor (moving furniture, ripping out the existing carpet, etc.). The numbers I did receive allowed the calculation of the $9.80/sq ft mentioned above. When I asked for a further explanation, I received vague references to unspecified additional materials and labor tasks. I took the List's advice and got a competing bid from another highly rated provider, and it was $1,000 cheaper--for the exact same material. Floorcraft has high List ratings for quality, which is why I considered them in the first place. And their work may indeed be excellent. But their prices are very high, and their proposal process is unprofessional. A single number is not a professional proposal. At the very least, get a competing bid."
