The framing and footings under the porch were then inspected and found to be unsuitable for use.  Further funding was
required for the new footings and framing, these were added to the original quote of $13,000 and came to around $2000 (cost price for materials).
The porch was completed to spec and within budget within two weeks.
We are thrilled with the new porch and are probably going to hire Trust Builders LLC to build out our attic space."

It’s difficult to imagine someone tearing out over twenty sash windows, two large picture windows, a kitchen window, and a French door without ruining the siding, destroying the interior trim, and generally making a mess of things. Not a lick of wood, hardware, or any material remained on site when they finished. The crew applied their many years of experience to the project, setting the new windows, insulating, and then silicone caulking. Really, for the multiple quotes I received, this project was so reasonable my spouse took me to Block Island on the savings. Great work. Fair price. Mostly, though, we felt cared for during the job. He re-did painting in my basement after another contractor's work didn't last very long.  Dirk appropriately wire brushed the surfaces that needed it, applied the proper water seal paint and a top coat, and the basement looks great!
Dirk is a very hard worker, and he works fast.  He will do almost any type of repair or clean up work.  He is very neat and pleasant, and he always leaves his work area cleaner than he found it.  Paint is applied precisely, with no drips or uneven edges. Dirk at times has even washed dishes he found in the sink and cleaned my cat litter box.
Dirk came up with an ingenious way to replace window sills that were rotted, rather than replacing the entire windows. He properly removed the rotted wood, replaced it, caulked it, and covered it with new aluminum strips.  They look like part of the original windows, and they are water tight.  His solution was much better (and less expensive) than what the window manufacturer had  suggested.
