We are a full service lawn care/landscaping service having been in business for over 25 years. We offer mulching, mowing, cleanups and hedge trimming. We also offer Aerating, grading and hardscaping.
"From start to finish A cut Above provided excellent communication, excellent pricing & customer service. I was quoted a fraction of the price of another estimate from another company. The crew was punctual and did a nice job cleaning up an eviction/junk removal job. I highly recommend them and will definitely use this company again in the future. They did not disappoint!!"

"I can not say enough nice things about DCI and the owner David. We hired DCI to help resolve an issue with a poorly installed French drain that was resulting in water in the basement. They came up with a plan to resolve the issue and got to work within a couple weeks. Unfortunately, the first attempt didn't quite fix our problem. David and his team were out within a couple of days to try some additional measures. They did this two more times until they had exhausted all options for re-installing the French drain, regrading along the side of the foundation, sealing holes and adding a water barrier. All of those visits were for no extra charge. Best part is we have no water in our basement anymore. Everyone we worked with at DCI was pleasant and professional. They were quick to come out and do the work or resolve problems and they were very reasonably priced. If we need additional landscaping work we will reach out to DCI first and I recommend you do the same."

"Review for G&G Landscaping (G&G Landscape, LLC) – Owners Derek & Amanda Gardner, MHIC# 155902 In 2024, I hired G&G Landscaping to complete a patio and fence project at my home, totaling $44,000 ($9,800 of which was for the fence). While I was initially satisfied with the patio installation, the quality of their work quickly came into question. Just 11 months after completion, the patio began to sink in several areas, creating large and noticeable gaps between the pavers. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering that the project came with a 5-year craftsmanship warranty, which was a major reason I chose G&G over other (less expensive) contractors. I reached out to Derek Gardner through the contact information provided. He responded at first, apologized for the issue, and assured me that someone would come to inspect the patio by the end of that week. That was over two weeks ago—and no one has come, nor have I received any further communication. I’ve followed up multiple times by phone and email with no response whatsoever. It’s unacceptable that a patio of this cost and supposed quality is already failing in less than a year, and even more troubling that the company is now unresponsive and failing to honor their written warranty. If I could go back, I would choose a different contractor. I strongly caution others against hiring G&G Landscaping—they do not stand behind their work."

"It went very well I explained my problems with my existing lawn issues. He quickly addressed my concerns and completed the job. I was surprised to know that I have a one year guarantee if by chance a plant needs replaced. I can't wait to see what it looks like after a few weeks as the plants begin to grow."

Kyle Hodges, the owner and sole proprietor of Azaleas to Zinnias, has been affiliated with the company for nearly 15 years. Throughout those years he has developed a wide-based knowledge of everything from plants, plant and hardscape design, natural stonework, pavers and water features, just to name a few, through avenues not limited to hands-on and in-class training. He strives hard to incorporate our clients' wants and needs into designs, as well as educate and guide clients to choices best suited to their individual properties. His enthusiasm for developing long-term client relationships really shows. Richard Wike, the founder of Azlaeas to Zinnias, started the company in 1989 and now works as a consultant. We are experienced in all phases of garden design, installation, lighting, hardscapes, maintenance, and container plantings. No project is too small, and the attention to detail and customer wishes are evident in all our work. Succession of color of flowers, foliage and textures is an important feature that we incorporate to make our gardens unique. In addition, we like to form a collaborative relationship with a client that can last years through garden transitions and changes. We love what we do ...And it shows!
"Wonderfully! They did an Outstanding job for me. They trimmed the bushes and trees nicely, weeded, and mulched beautifully, with clean, cut edges between the mulch and lawn. They arrived before 8 am on the appointed day and beautified my home exterior for the photo shoot 3 days later. Am very pleased."

Since 2014, Green Thumb Yard Care has provided high quality, professional outdoor services that support a healthier environment. Our business is distinguished from our competitors in several ways. First, we are residentially focused. Most of our clients are homeowners, and we understand and appreciate the attention to detail and high quality workmanship that homeowners expect. We are also committed to performing our work in a way that minimized our ecological footprint. A few tangible steps that we have taken to reduce our environmental impact include recycling and composting waste materials whenever possible, and reducing the amount of herbicides used in our lawn treatment program by utilizing the most environmentally friendly techniques and science. At Green Thumb, we price our work fairly. We do not adjust our pricing based on the value of your home or the neighborhood where you live. We always start with our best price. The way that we treat and compensate our employees and contractors sets us apart from other similar service providers. We pay our team as a percentage of labor revenue. This allows our team to earn higher wages as they become more proficient at their job and encourages them to perform their best work. Lastly, our owner, Danny Pittas, is still directly involved in each project. His passion for landscaping and horticulture guide the business in an evolving and changing industry.

Spring is the sweet spot for yard leveling. The soil has enough moisture to shape easily but is still firm enough to stay put once you finish grading. Tackle the project before summer downpours arrive, and you’ll improve drainage, reduce erosion, and give new grass time to take root. Leveling in early spring also helps pros schedule followup landscaping before the busy season hits.
A pro crew typically needs five to six days to level an average‑size yard. Smaller spots may wrap up in a single day, while a sprawling or steep property can stretch the timeline to a full week. Those days cover everything from prep and initial grading to final touch‑ups that leave the surface stable and ready for new landscaping. Building this window into your schedule keeps the project on track and ensures long-lasting results.
Leave a four‑inch gap between finished soil and both the top of the foundation and the bottom edge of the siding. That clearance lets water run off instead of slipping inside and keeps pests from finding an easy path indoors. Sticking to this measurement protects the structure, preserves proper drainage, and helps you avoid costly repairs down the road.
Grading tilts the ground so water flows away from your foundation; leveling smooths out bumps so you can mow, entertain, or add hardscaping with ease. Most projects need a mix of both—grade first for drainage, then fine‑tune the surface for a neat, user‑friendly lawn. Combining the two protects the house and boosts curb appeal in one pass.
