"Prior to Tristate, we had multiple false starts with Lawn Irrigation vendors who did not return calls or follow-up after an initial visit. It is very difficult to find a service who will take on a system installed by others but Tristate does this routinely. They worked systematically to find issues, were able to repair/replace many of these but ultimately we need large scale piping replacement and the advised using a new system vendor for this. Want to mention Eric as an outstanding technician who worked with us and led this project."

"Great. We are extremely happy with the way the lawns look. The person who does it is Tyler and he is great. Always explains to us exactly what is going on and if there were unwanted grass or weeds he explains what it was and what he did to treat it. We could not be happier with Tyler or our lawn. Looks terrific. Had lawn irrigation done at end of 2019 too and they did a great job."

"I hired Springleaf Outdoor Services. Justin Bresner was a pleasure to work with. In spite of his busy fall schedule, he worked me in early between other jobs. I really appreciated his flexibility. He was responsive to my questions, answering my phone calls and emails promptly. Justin and his crew arrived on time, worked steadily, and were finished by early afternoon. They cleaned up the area when finished and even hosed down my neighbor's drive way which they used to unload top soil. I would not hesitate to use Springleaf again and highly recommend them!"

"Creech's Liquid Lawn expanded and upgraded an existing irrigation system installed in the 1980s. We have also used them to make minor repairs and winterize the system. Cost was very reasonable and they did good quality work. The upgraded system works great. Creech's has been very responsive. They return phone calls, show up when scheduled, and do their work promptly and efficiently. <br />"

"First let me start with the positives then I will go on. <br /> Was in a rush last winter to find a service before the spring so I called a few companies.  Wimberg was the most professional and did get back to me.  Gave me estimate for services and I said OK at the time I thought it was a little pricey but we do have a big hill and I was going to give them a shot to earn my yearly business.  Once service started was very happy with the weekly cuttings. They were very reliable on cutting and did a great job and fast cleanup.  I chose to do organic fertilize because we have dogs and wanted the grass stronger and healthier.  I would not waste my money on that again.  Do not know if it was the company or just organic is not as good.  <br /> They did cut our invisible fence line twice but came out and fixed it for no charge and were fast.  That was great. <br /> As I noted above I had my thoughts that I was being charged a lot.  I was not able to maintain my landscaping very well this past summer and had a couple companies come out to quote me on getting the beds back in shape as we were getting married in the fall.  I had 3 estimates.  While doing this I price compared grass cutting prices.  Wimberg was miles above other quotes.  <br /> As I eluded to above we have 3 dogs.  They can put a beating on the grass as one is 150lbs and the other 60 the toy poodle doesn't really worry me haha. I had Mike early in the spring come out and give me a quote on repair.  He gave me the price and I signed the contract.  Well they didn't come out till the very end of season.  To late for sod in my opinion.  It did not really have time to grow in before weather got bad.  To top it off they didn't do the job as estimated.  So I had to call them to come back out to point out places they missed. Whoever told the guys what to do was not thorough and they winged it. Well I got nabbed for a bill over double what was in the contract because they stated they did a little extra work.  It was a small patch that they asked me if I wanted fixed but to charge me more then what the whole job was originally quoted and at a fraction of the size pushed me to not hire them back.  <br /> The workers themselves were great. The business is pricey compared to others.  Organic fertilizer did nothing and just sat on top of the grass.  The guy who did my estimates was not good to work with.  <br /> <br />"

"David and his guys turned my jungle backyard into a thing of beauty. I didn't have much idea about what to do, but David made many suggestions and provided more/less expensive alternatives. I went for the less expensive, as my budget was somewhat limited. It took a couple of trips for everything to get done. He made the waterfall in the backyard run continuously (it had previously had a remote on/off which had disappeared long ago). It can be manually turned off, but until the frosts come, I like having it on. He selected plants and shrubs and placed them well. He worked within my budget and did an amazing job."

"They come every spring and every fall. They are knowledgeable on what they are doing. The sprinkler system has been in for a long time so this is kinda they come out and turn the water on the outside and they just check all the heads to make sure there is no cracks or leaks and set your sprinkler heads. Yes, I think I just checking for them to come out and do my spring."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Petersburg, KY

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
