"Mike T. and his crew continue to be our go-to contractor for all things concrete and landscaping. Their work is consistently outstanding and priced right, no matter the size of the job. If something doesn't look right, they fix it. They suggest options we hadn't thought of. We've never been disappointed. They're professional and a pleasure to work with. We miss them when the job is done...they feel like family! HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"Ben and his crew finished our driveway this morning, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Every part of the experience was excellent. Ben provided a prompt quote with several options, helped us choose the service that best fit our needs, and offered a very reasonable price. His crew arrived on time with the right equipment, worked efficiently and professionally, and delivered outstanding workmanship. Several neighbors have already taken notice—hopefully they’ll reach out to him as well."

"Henry's got the job done quickly and for a reasonable price. Some extra work needed to be done like removing a cement area and bushes to make room for a wider paved driveway, and they did an excellent job. The driveway looks great, and I would highly recommend Henry's Paving!"

"G&B recently completed a driveway, sidewalks and patio with fire pit for us and it turned out beautifully. George offered several helpful suggestions for choosing the right color and stamping pattern to really tie the project in with the house. These extra details are why we chose G&B above the others. The crew was prompt on completing the projects as well as courteous and mindful of our neighbors during the job. Highly, highly recommend for any concrete needs."

"I used this company for a number of years and the overall service is no longer the same. I had them over to clean my gutters and I witnessed ladders slamming against the side of my house and they tore one of the edges from the corner of my roof with their step ladder. I will not use them going forward."

"DeckPro Surface Solutions was engaged to bring our old deck back to life. They did an excellent job - from the cleaning / power washing, to the carpentry, and finally the staining, the deck looks new! Genevieve and Randy were a pleasure to work with and always responded promptly to any questions. Anyone who is look for deck repair, restoration, refresh, staining, or a new deck, I would highly recommend this company. ---Brandon"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Philadelphia, PA

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
