I just wanted to have them painted and to keep the granite countertops that we installed a few years ago. When Natalie, the kitchen designer saw them she felt that they should be refinished to contrast w the counters---not painted. I am so glad I took her advice. Luis and his crew did a marvelous job.He is a perfectionist and did lots of prep to protect existing surfaces. If he wasn't happy w an area, it was redone.In addition, we had some new drawers and pull outs installed. We are very happy with the result---Luis put a beautiful finish on the cabinets in the kitchen and laundry room. With Cook you get professional results at a reasonable price."

"Communication was good, work was a less than I expected. This was a tough job because the paint was dark, requiring an extra gallon for 2 or 3 coats in some areas. I hired someone for the job because I had done the painting before and it was hard work and I am not young enough to do it anymore (ladder work is dangerous). I just felt the work wasn't as "careful" as it could have been; I did a lot of "clean up" afterwards for misplaced brush strokes and droplets of paint. The job was tough and took more hours than expected. Had paid for 8 hours for one painter, or two painters for 4 hours. Went well past the 8 hours, so had to pay for the extra time. Tony and Enrique were great about taking down and replacing the blinds; they also reinstalled the valances, which was very helpful. I guess my biggest disappointment was some sloppy brushstrokes. I know from experience that can happen, but it would have been better if they had been corrected by the painter. I'm not sure if I would hire again....getting more quotes would answer that question....am I wrong to think $500.00 is a lot for painting one room? Maybe so when you consider all the "cutting in"."

"This was a major renovation project and Holtzman was responsive, professional and always responded to any of my inquiries or concerns. Their work is high quality and of there was ever anything in question or required additional attention the companies owner would come and take care of it immediately! I have redone my entire home both interior and exterior and the interior is gorgeous and was done with precise attention to detail and that is because of Holtzman. Where as my backyard hardscape and pool have been under construction for two years and the contractor is MIA! If you want a job done well and to enjoy the process, hire Holtzman."
