"We recently had our siding done by Gunner Roofing and can’t say enough good things. We had our consultation with Andrew and he was honest, not pushy, and even enthusiastic about the project. He was patient and answered multiple rounds of questions to make us feel as comfortable and secure as possible. When we decided to give the siding project to them, they worked with us step by step. We received line item details, mock ups, and were even able to get their own personal/professional input on decisions. Andrew and Joe Massari went over the project with us multiple times to make sure we were comfortable. They stayed professional, reliable, and communicative during the whole process. Our Project Manager, Conor, kept open lines of communication and was honest about timelines, materials, etc.; nothing during this project was a surprise. Gabriel and his crew did absolutely amazing work, they were meticulous, precise, and clean. The whole team really took an out of box idea and delivered on it at 100%. I’m truly so lucky to have found this group and have already spoken to them about future projects. Scope of work: full Hardie siding (Hardie Panel vertical siding), window install, gutter replacement, front door install. Team: Andrew Prchal (Ops Mgr.), Joe Massari, Conor (Project Manager), Gabriel & crew."

"Buschur's is everything we wanted and more. They installed a geothermal system for us about 4 years ago, and we LOVE it. It was hard to believe their claims about its efficiency, how low our electric bill would be, but they were SPOT ON. Our electric bill hardly increased, and we used to heat with wood (that we cut and split ourselves - we're glad to be done with that ;-) )! They were very thorough and professional - HIGHLY recommend."

"Mr. Brierly personally inspected the project, went over recommendations with me, and performed the work quickly, efficiently, effectively and for a very fair price. The finished product far exceeded my expectations. A follow-up call was received to assure we were satisfied with the work. Great work ethic and professionalism. A model business. Would definitely hire again and recommend to anyone. P.S. They do more than roofing...ask."

"His name is Mel Yoder. I got him from Angie's List. I had gotten ten names from Angie's List. I had them all come out and give an estimate. Mel Yoder was the only one that got up on the roof and walked the entire length of the roof. He discovered that we had shingles coming off and wind damage. The handyman that I had used for years passed away in January. He couldn’t do the roof because of his heart condition. He had given me an estimate of what he thought it should cost for labor and materials. Mel Yoder was right within that price. Everybody else was $3000-$4000 higher. They did an excellent job cleaning up. They did an excellent job overall. I was very impressed. The price was very reasonable. One of the first questions the insurance guy that has our house insurance asked me was if any of the roofers I had come out actually got up on the roof. I said only one. There were some that brought ladders out. I have a front porch roof that's a little lower than a two story house. They would get up on the porch roof and that was it, but they didn’t get up on the roof itself. Mel Yoder did, and he walked the whole length of the roof. He even came inside. I showed him a place where I thought there was a leak in the laundry room. We have a duplex upstairs. He was very thorough. I liked the idea that Mel Yoder and some of the other ones printed up estimates and sent them. I wanted to get him to do my kitchen since I had used him for the roof because he does do home improvement. But they are so lined up; he was three months down the line. That's why I went with another company. Mel is good at what he does, and he stayed booked. He was upfront about giving me options and what would be the best pricewise. I really appreciated that. I would definitely recommend Mel Yoder for doing the roof. For the two chimneys that needed re-servicing, he did an excellent job. I was very happy with the job he did especially the clean-up. They were very thorough in doing the clean-up. I was impressed with that."

"There were positives and negatives in my experience with Slink's Masonry. <br /> Scheduling was a problem. When I first contacted Gary in May of last year, he was very up front that he was currently busy, but thought that he could look at the project in about six weeks or so. I was willing to wait, but after that, it was one slip after another, first just getting an estimate and then starting the work. The project was not underway until the beginning of October. The project was estimated at six weeks but ran closer to eight including some worked weekends, finishing up in late November on the cusp of bad weather. <br /> The other issue was project planning. Regardless of who's doing the work, I would simply not do another project like this without a more thorough project plan in the contract, including fairly detailed sketches with measurements. There was no contract beyond signing the estimate, which had a more general description of the work. This impacted most on the front steps, where both the riser height (8") and width (31") of the steps from the driveway to the landing don't match the riser heights (5 1/2") and widths (36") of the steps from the landing to the front porch. I don't know why the riser heights were done differently - they were all the same in the wood steps he was replacing, but after the molds were built (still prior to pouring the concrete), Gary gave me heavy resistance to changing it. The widths are off because he didn't take into account the depth of the stone veneer on the retaining walls to either side of the lower steps which extends into the step. Project planning was also an issue where the stone interfaced with other materials. The vinyl siding I had put in didn't terminate the way Gary wanted it - and while Gary will say the siding installer should have known better (quite possibly true), coordination would have been easier on my end if this was specifically spelled out in the contract. This was fixed by the siding installer at my expense. The Garage doors were replaced prior to Gary's work with new trim/weatherstripping installed, because he was going to stone up right up to the trim. When the wood beneath the trim had to be removed, the trim was destroyed and had to replaced, again at my expense. There was a tree blocking his access to the chimney which was taken down, which should also have been in the contract. He was unwilling to remove the stump. The height of the patio was higher than we discussed, so I had to have 10 cubic yards of dirt brought in to bring the level of the backyard up to meet it. Starting this Spring, the driveway (asphalt) has buckled all along the length of the retaining wall, because the driveway was hollowed out underneath when they dug the footer. I will have to have this tended to before this Winter. I think at least some of these issues/expenses could have been mitigated with better planning and a more detailed contract. <br /> Despite all of that, there were positives too. Gary is very meticulous and conscientious working with the stone itself. I'm very happy with the fit of the cultured stone install on the house and the flagstone on the back patio - it looks beautiful. I believe that what he has built is very solid construction that should hold up over the long haul. When he was building the retaining wall, the level was out on each block as he tapped it level. There's rebar in the concrete of both the back patio and front porch anchored into the house. He discovered into the project that there was not adequate support in the existing wood framed chimney to hold the weight of the stone, which I appreciate him bringing to my attention so it could be addressed. Gary will take input and is generally easy to work with, so long as you discuss things in advance before he's into the task. Just initiate communication early and often to make sure you're on the same page. <br />"

"I can't say enough about his crew. They were professional, polite, worked hard, did excellent work cleaned up everything. Vernon's price was very fair, far less than quotes from other roofers. This is his 3rd job for me, and the next time, I won't need to call others for an estimate... just get on Vernon's calendar as soon as possible. (It keeps getting longer with each job.) We have a wedding barn and a wedding was scheduled for the end of May. There was one tiny hole in the barn that they just missed. (There were over 75 big holes in the barn roof) He knew about the wedding and made sure that it was repaired timely. Can't say enough about him. Consider him to be a good friend and will rely on him in the future. <br />"
