"This is the 3rd or 4th time I have used Friendly Tree - which says it all. They are reliable, professional, very accommodating/flexible to modify the tree work to my wishes as the job progresses. And their pricing is extremely fair and reasonable. Job was pruning/thinning out 3 very large trees in my front yard and removal of 8 small junk trees at the back of my property - including removal of all the trimmed branches and removed trees. They clean up the area the work was done as though they were never there. I will use them again for certain."

"I phoned the company yesterday at 12:15 and a very polite woman (Tara?) picked up the phone. Within a few minutes of chatting, she had me scheduled for a delivery with a two hour window. ( between 1 and 3 pm the same afternoon!). Being that I had to leave my home during that time, she told me to leave the check on the log rack. My son got home around 3, and the wood had already been delivered and stacked! There was no evidence in the driveway that a cord of wood had been delivered and every speck of wood chips/debris had been cleaned up! The wood was perfectly stacked on my log racks in back of my house. It was absolutely a true cord of wood for a fair price $200 plus $50 for stacking. I will use them again and highly recommend them if you're in the market for firewood."

"They were very careful w/ maze if power lines and cable, etc. Strapped each limb and carefully lowered it , where few men w/ chainsaws cut them up and fed into wood chipper. Ground stump and left grindings to fill the large hole left! My neighbors were so Impressed, they immediately requested their services for dead tree removal for Monday September 1st (tomorrow). He obtains license from town quickly and gets a perfect job done. Amazing ALMIGHTY! More neighbors have asked about prices. The lowest free estimate and cost exactly that amount. Other tree removal companies on Angie's list were exactly twice as much and wanted to drop branches AND disconnect cable lines etc. Almighty needed access to tree and put down flat wood to protect our lawn from wheels. They also cleaned up BEAUTIFULLY! Will hire again, as another large oak over house will die next. They were prompt and professional, as well as VERY POLITE! We have had a few people in the neighborhood ask about their prices. Neighbors very interested in hiring Almighty Tree Service."

"Julio responded promptly, coming out to give me an estimate that afternoon. He assessed both trees, said he could remove the maple without damage to my neighbor's shed, and said the other tree was alright. (He could have said it needed to come down too, and increased the job for himself and the cost to me, but he didn't.) He took down the split maple safely, without touching my neighbor's shed, and removed all the debris, including some branches that weren't part of the tree's being taken down. I am impressed by his professionalism and honesty. His price was very reasonable, and his willingness to do a relatively small job much appreciated. I would hire him again without question."

"A tree fell during a storm on 9/12 and was blocking the street in front of my house. I reached NJTS first thing in the morning.  Rich visited approximately an hour and a half after my call, gave me a reasonable estimate to remove the fallen tree (part of which was still standing), and gave me another quote for trimming other trees while the crew was here. I accepted and the crew came after another hour and a half and worked through the afternoon (approximately five hours, including a lunch break). They seemed good at their work and were efficient and cleaned up well after themselves. They were also careful during the removal of the branches to avoid hurting the bamboo that the branches fell on (something I asked Rich to ask the crew). The company website states that the company accepts credit cards, but Rich failed to tell me that if I used one to pay, I would be charged an additional 3%.  The website does not state that fact either. I was only told that fact when I called the office in order to pay the bill.  That is my main complaint about the service, otherwise I would recommend this company.

"I have been looking for someone to do this kind of work for a while since it doesn't make sense for me to own and maintain my own log splitter and manual splitting is not feasible.  I burn wood, and have large trees taken down from time to time (as do many of my neighbors). It makes no sense to pay to have felled trees hauled away, and then to buy firewood. 
I emailed Trevor with pics and a volume estimate of the wood I needed processed. He responded promptly with an estimate, his conditions, and a date. I accepted, and, without further ado, Trevor and assistant showed up at the agreed upon time. He quickly understood what I needed done and proceeded with the work efficiently, without any need for further discussion or direction. I was able to completely concentrate on some other work that I had to do.
A second work day (completed last week) went equally smoothly. A good plan, well-executed, at a fair price is how I summarized it.
As small, smart, local, niche businesses like this one succeed, we will begin to reclaim an economy that works for all of us, IMO.
