"Aaron is a star. After two supposedly professional roofers gave me ridiculous quotes and told me that even if I chose them to do the work, THEY WOULD NOT GUARANTEE IT! I read Arron's reviews and figured why not, what could I lose. Aaron was prompt, professional and took the time to explain everything. He said that my roof had minor, minor hail damage, and did not need to be fixed at all. Another company wanted to do a "maintenance" for me to the tune of $650.00 with no guarantee. Aaron told me that I have an asphalt roof and they don't need yearly maintenance. Aaron also told me that in 2-3 years, if no major storms hit before, I will probably have to replace my roof. A decent roofer who is honest and helpful. I wish I could make him number one on Angie's list. He deserves it. In 2-3 years I will call Aaron and have him replace my roof. I would be a fool to call anybody else!"

"Soukup Roofing was on USAA’s list when we needed someone to replace some blown-off shingles in August 2018. They were friendly, well informed, and prompt and did a great job. It was about $500? Somewhere around there - it was insured so I don’t remember. We went back to them when vultures damaged our chimney cap in March 2019 and caused a leak. It is a very tall chimney, and they worked with me to get the right people and equipment here. They patched the leak, and they also installed some spikes I provided, to discourage further vulture visits. ($150) In both cases, the communication was good, they were reliable, their people are friendly and skilled, and they did a good job."

"Hailstorm hit my area a few years ago and after seeing a number of my neighbors getting their roof replaced I called a Texas windstorm inspector, who said my roof was 50% damaged and needed to be replaced. <br /> The way it worked with Texas windstorm at the time was that it had to be repaired or they would not provide any more coverage, so I called Berryman Roofing to quote replacements. In terms of money I don't actually know the final value of the repair, since it was through my windstorm insurance. <br /> I was fairly impressed with the two reps who came out to quote the roof. Texas Windstorm didn't seem like it was going to give me enough money to cover it, but the roofers assured me they'd handle it. Work started a week or two after I signed the paperwork. They suggested upgrading my shingles to a superior type, which cost me an extra $600 out of pocket (Windstorm will replace like for like, so upgrades were on me). I live on the Gulf coast so it wasn't a hard sell giving me 120 mph rated shingles over the 80 mph the original ones had. They were thicker, heavier and were also more resistant to hail damage. Look better too, so it wasn't a hard sell given that it's a tiny fraction of the overall cost of a new roof. <br /> They were in and out in one day. I left for work fairly early, before any of them arrived, and got home late that day around 7. The roof was completely stripped, new shingles put on and everything cleaned up and removed before I got home. I never actually saw them, but they also replaced dented fittings over my vents, put hoods over vents that weren't covered and in general did a quality job. <br /> They maintain offices here locally and said they will warranty their work, though so far I've had no reason to call them back out. Windstorm was a bit slow cutting me checks to pay them, but they weren't pushy about billing and after I paid out everything I was supposed to they dealt with windstorm directly and that was the last I heard of it. I presume the repairs cost more than what Windstorm budgeted for and there's some mechanism for them to seek out whatever the difference was, but honestly I don't know the specifics. <br /> I suppose I should mention there are roofing companies who will offer to 'pay your deductible' presumably by overcharging the insurance and handing money back to their customer. I know by my policies I was responsible to pay out of pocket for upgrades and for the deductible, so that sort of thing is insurance fraud as far as I can tell. Berryman won't do it, despite that it's fairly damaging for their competitiveness. Seems to be an honest company, and it's been around for something like 30 years so they're not going to just disappear after the job's done. <br />"

"I was getting a house built in 1962 that still had the original duct work ready to sell. It also had a mold in the ducts near the furnace in the attic and particularly bad in the bathrooms. The original ducts were metal and had some leaks in addition to mold. Anyway, the old lines even without the mold are the kind of thing that can cause an issue with inspections prior to the time of sale. After some research and advice from several vendors I decided to replace them. I narrowed the vendors down to two and finally picked Extreme Air Duct Cleaning mostly because of good reviews and because I was impressed with their representatives who came to inspect and bid the job. They were willing to negotiate a little and that also helped. In the end they replaced all the duct work (piping) in the attic with R8 (which is current Houston building code), cleaned and repainted all the vent registers and cleaned out the mold in the furnace/AC unit in the attic and cleaned the metal end in the ceiling that the vent registers attach to in the rooms. They were on time, they were very professional and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone who needs Air Duct Cleaning or who needs to replace the existing ducts in an old house."

"David was the inspector that inspected the home for me.  He actually arrived before the scheduled appointment time which was a big plus in my book.  He was very polite and went over all of his findings, took pictures of all.  Thanks to his keen eye he saved me from making a terrible mistake.  He suggested I get a roofing contractor to take a second look at the roof as he thought there was a lot more damage to the roof than the seller had noted plus was laid incorrectly as well.  I then had a roofing contractor check out the roof and he agreed with David that the roof should have been replaced due to excessive hail damage & also agreed that the roof had been laid incorrectly from the beginning.  There were also other issues that I would have not noticed but thanks to his trained eye, they were brought to my attention.  It kept me from purchasing a money pit. Thanks David!!"

"My first home, 3 months into my mortgage... a storm comes and knocks my fence over. I had no idea about the roof. So, a guy knocks on the door and said hey, can I inspect the roof? I didn't care- it was free. He came back 30 minutes later with photos. My roof was about to start leaking in 10 different places! He patched it- right there on the spot. I signed a contract that same day, and everything went smoothly. I didn't do anything fancy to my house. I kept the same color scheme, but it still just looked new and better. So, I'm very happy."
