"They did a great job. They were very professional and prompt getting back to me about any questions I had. Even though all the rain we had this spring extended the project they took their time to make sure everything was done right. I get compliments all the time on the great job."

"From the initial estimate and quote to the actual execution of the work, Pedro and his team did a fantastic job. They were diligent, consistently on time, accommodating of our requests, and completed the basement finishing—approximately 700 sq ft—in just three weeks. We couldn’t believe the pace of their work. The quality was excellent. Keep up the great work, Pedro!"

"It is on the verge of 2026 and I am still finding examples of the terrible work we received from PRC back in 2019! I have constant reminders of the regret that I have from hiring this company. The latest is an exposed outlet that we were never told about and that I recently discovered because I had to remove a cabinet drawer. Please see the the attached photo and I recommend reading my entire review. Proceed with caution, if you decide to use PRC. I will never understand why they could not provide us the same level of quality that others mentioned in their reviews. Poor work is one thing, but this is a safety issue, and I am grateful that we have not had a fire. I will be consulting with an attorney to determine if any action is possible. I wasn't planning on writing a review about our experience with PRC, but after finding more examples of poor workmanship on a project that was supposed be completed 10 months ago, I've changed my mind. FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Pittsburgh, PA

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
