"Used these guys when I lived by college thru today. I personally use these guys for my office and my home. Office we use them about once a month and at home we use them every few months downstairs near the entry. Carpets look like new and I haven't had them leave any marks on my carpets after cleaning even once. I will continue to use them. <br />"

"I was very pleased with Justin's work. He has a full time regular job and does this work on his 3 day weekends. We had him come in and work on Saturdays. He was always on time and when he was called in to do overtime at his regular job he called and let us know. He was accurate and tried to make old door openings with old trim look new again. I paid for supplies upfront and paid him for labor on completion. I plan on using him again after the holidays for my entry and garage doors. I do not know what the going rate of pay is for this kind of job but I was happy to pay what he ask for. <br />"

"The head guy noted that one of the screens was damaged and said they would order and install the screen later. Said to myself: "I'll never see these guys again". But 2 weeks later the screen was installed. Excellent work all around."

"Breck is one of the few remaining gentlemen service providers. The experience was wonderful. He knows is subject and is an extremely skilled craftsman! He and his crew showed up on time, and finished early! The 50 year old planters looked brand new!!! Most importantly he treated my mother and I with the upmost respect. I hired Breck to help my Mother in Lubbock, I live out of town. He consistently reported back to me as well as my Mother and kept us completely informed and up to date on his progress. He would only accept payment with both my mother and I were completely satisfied. He left the worksite in beautiful condition. We are more than pleased! Breck is truly amazing. What a find!!!! We highly highly highly recommend this wonderful craftsman and human being. <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Plainview, TX

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
