"They were prompt in coming out to set trap, and collected the $135 fee for setting up the trap.  Norm, the employee, was professional in setting it up and the receipt that we recieved for the trap set-up, did specify the $65 per animal, which was different than we understood.  It was our confusion in hiring ACS, rather than the cheaper competitor who did charge same set-up fee and only $35 for each animal removal, that led to what we feel was an excessively high bill.  The only other issue-and it is very much debatable- is that Norm advised continuing the trapping after the male skunk was trapped as he claimed that there was a good possibility of a female skunk also under the deck.  I don't know if that was a legitimate concern or simply "milking the client".  I have read that it is unlikely that a male and female adult will inhabit same place except during the actual mating act itself.  But it is of course easy to "Monday morning quarterback". <br /> I would certainly advise others to compare prices before beginning the service.  Lesson learned. <br />"

"I had high hopes that Rose's would be my go-to company for pest control, they were recommended by a friend I trust. I first contacted them through their website. When I didn't hear from them, I called them directly and set up an appointment. The gentleman who came out on a Saturday was great, examined the situation, gathered bug samples, but surprised me when he didn't treat immediately--he wanted to take the bugs back to his office to positively identify them. He told me there would be no charge until they came out and treated, and he said he'd call that Monday to let me know what the next steps would be for treatment. 2 weeks later when I still hadn't heard from him I called their office; the receptionist was very apologetic and told me she'd contact them and get back to me that next Monday. A $150 charge had also appeared on my credit card for the service they hadn't performed yet. Around this time I finally got a response for my initial inquiry through their website...so weeks later they were finally responding to that, incredibly slow. A week later when I still hadn't heard from the receptionist or the original guy I called and complained to a different receptionist who said I needed to talk to a different office. When I called that office, they finally scheduled someone to come out and spray. I decided I didn't want to pay monthly for their quarterly service if their customer service and scheduling was so spotty, so I called and cancelled at the beginning of July. Now just days after I cancelled I see a new charge for $70 has appeared on my credit card. I called again to cancel and ask for a refund, they'll hopefully reverse the charge without my having to call again. I'm not sure what's happening with their customer service department, but it seems very disorganized with nobody steering the ship. I would advise anyone dealing with them to pay only with check, once they have your credit card information charges will appear on your card from them regardless of what they've said to you about charges."

"Burr's employee found and plugged one entry point and placed a number of bait stations in various places around the basement. To date the mice are still eating the bait I use and dying. They may be mice that were already in the house when the entry point was plugged. I hope so. It is probably too soon to be certain that the treatment was unsuccessful but I fear that the problem is still with us. I contracted with Angies List for this service and when I had not heard from anyone for over a month I called Angies List and asked for a refund. My request was refused because it had been over a month. I don't know whether the problem was with Angies List or Burr but it left me unhappy with both organizations. I then told Angies List to see if they could get Burr to fulfill the contract which they did."
