Customers say: True professional

"We were in a tight spot and urgently needed help cleaning up my parents’ house after their passing. Ben and his team swiftly arrived and efficiently cleaned the house and yard. We were so impressed with their service that we even asked them to paint the house as well. They didn’t cut corners; they pressure washed, repaired, and caulked the house properly before painting. Overall, they did an excellent job, and we’ll definitely use them again. "

Customers say: Quality work

"The process was easy and we could not be more pleased with the results. Tim came for the initial appointment and his professionalism was immediately evident- as it was for Jason, who performed the work. Both were punctual and courteous, and we felt we could trust them from the beginning- no rush, no pressure to sell or to add to the project. Screening the patio was a good decision: we enjoy sitting outside, not bothered by wind, rain or mosquitoes. "

"Tinney Trades did a beautiful job with our recent kitchen and laundry room remodel. They assisted us with 1) room layout, making valuable suggestions to help us us maximize the space; 2) material selection, providing suggestions for beautiful, durable products for the job, and 3) material acquisition, providing us with suggestions to source some of the products we desired. The contractors they engaged were true craftsmen. They put up drapes to minimize dust and cleaned the workspace each evening. Because of the Tinney's and their contractors attention to detail, each component of our new kitchen‐the cabinets, flooring, backsplash, counters, plumbing, electrical and lighting is beautiful. They did a fabulous job and we would recommend them."

Customers say: Quick response

"Update: Resolution Reached with MCM Construction I want to provide an updated review of my experience with MCM Construction for my pool renovation project. While we encountered some significant challenges during the project, I'm pleased to report that we've reached a positive resolution. The pool and decking work itself was excellent—the subcontractors did a fantastic job, and the finished product looks great. However, we did face several issues during the process that caused considerable stress. Initially, there were communication breakdowns regarding additional costs for landscaping and irrigation restoration after excavation. There were also drainage issues that emerged, and I felt the company had stopped responding to my concerns about completing the work. However, after reaching out, the management team personally came out to our home to address my concerns. They were receptive to my frustrations about transparency and communication, and they took the time to listen and under"

Customers say: Terrific value

"They didn't go. That's the problem. It took two and a half months instead of two and a half weeks. Cuz I would never come over and do the job. And when you show off the work, nobody would show up, it was one person at a time and they weren't in the Uh, even in the orders, they needed to be in. You have to have electricians here to make sure everything is disconnected, if they don't disconnect it and turn off the power somebody could have gotten really hurt. Instead they left Live wires everywhere. The gentleman who said he was an electrician, did he? He, he would, he didn't do it correctly because he didn't put the wires in the condolence because he didn't know. That was part of Texas code if you don't go by cold, you're not a certified electrician. They just hired anybody off the street to come and do the job, that was it. They all were either, they were Hispanic in which it was very difficult for us to To talk to. And they just, they didn't even know Ruth who was the, um, Or just the project manager."

"STAY AWAY !! This is the fourth business Rene Fournet has owned or worked for since 2018. I purchased a home from his former company in the Summer of 2018. Rene Fournet hid many defects from the home inspector requiring us to spend over $100,000 in repairs within the first 30 days of moving in. The entire home flooded the VERY FIRST DAY we moved in ! Roof leaked during the very first heavy rain storm. PERMITS WERE NOT PULLED FOR ANY WORK PERFORMED ! Lighting fixtures that would do nothing, kitchen cabinets & doors that would not close, lack of a front door threshold, windows that would not shut, roof exhaust fan not screwed to base, MAJOR CRACK THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE LIVING ROOM CEILING. Rene offered us a six-month Home Warranty with no paperwork detailing what was covered. Rene would pick and choose what he would repair. Our advice is to stay far away from any company that Rene Fournet creates. Many if not all of the positive reviews here are from family members."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Plano, TX

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
