"<p>This is an excellent company!!  The professionalism and knowledge of the people I dealt with, Laura Nicosia and Philip Hendrick, was outstanding.  I first met Laura at the San Antonio Home Show in 2011 and was so impressed with her demonstration of the ShelfGenie products that not long after made my first order of ShelfGenie products.  When the 2016 show came around, I knew it was time to finish what I started back in 2011.   Making the appointments, Laura’s design, and Philip’s installation were all handled perfectly and flawlessly.  The quality of the products is top-notch.  There is no clean-up afterward, you are ready to load up the drawers immediately.  It is hard to explain what a tremendous difference these glide-outs have.  No more dragging the step ladder to reach the far back of the top cabinet to see what is in there, no more crawling on your hand and knees to see what is at the far back of the bottom cabinets in the kitchen.  It is just wonderful to have all these drawers that pull out so effortlessly.  And having built-in dividers for lids, cookie sheets, baking pans, cutting boards or anything else you desire is just fantastic, and such a space saver.   And as an added benefit, when I finished putting everything back, I ended up with so much more open space in the drawers that I didn’t have before.  I just cannot imagine ever living without them.  I highly recommend ShelfGenie as a wonderful investment in your home and in yourself.</p> <br> <br> <br> <br>"

"Couldn't have gone any better. Most cabinet makers require that we go to them with hopefully accurate measurements, but the Cabinet Wizard makes house calls! Brad arrived at my home with no prior details of what I was looking for in cabinets for our master bath. In probably 90 minutes he measured, sketched up exactly what I wanted, helped me choose the right finish using samples he brought with him, quoted the price, scheduled my order, and gave me an approximate delivery date. The sketches he left were very accurate as I had to have an electrician, plumber, and a countertop contractor work off those plans, and everything fit together without a hitch. My cabinet drawers have the soft close feature and the materials are top quality. The Cabinet Wizard doesn't carry cabinet pulls, but he installed the ones I had picked out free of charge (and there were a lot!). The beautiful cabinets and mirrors were done on schedule, installed quickly and efficiently, and seven months later, I still absolutely love the work he did and wouldn't change a thing. Brad has a sense of humor and it was a pleasure doing business with him and with his wife, Dawn, who was so kind and patient answering my questions during the process. I had previously had my kitchen cabinets made by Lowe's, and trust me, it was a nightmare. If you want personalized attention, great price, easy communication, and top quality work, The Cabinet Wizard is the way to go."

"Our 20 year-old home came with its original, worn cultured marble countertops. We were familiar with Master Refinishers' owner and the quality of their work, and decided this was one of the best ways to update our bathrooms. James Fleming took a look at the vanities, made some suggestions regarding colors, and gave me an estimate for the work. Once we made our color selection and hired a handyman to remove the old faucets, we were ready to go! The Master Refinishers' crew arrived as scheduled and lost no time taping off the vanities and applying the refinishing compounds. They work very quickly; they were at our home for less than two hours. The drawback to the process is that it has a very strong odor that takes several days to dissipate. After 24 hours, though, the vanities were ready to use. They look great and are easy to maintain."

"We needed to replace two doors in our house, the screen door was missing completely and the front interior door was badly damaged. I was impressed with the one man sent out by Home Depot. He did a fabulous job of getting the new doors installed properly. He encountered a problem with a front sill while doing the installation work. He corrected it quickly, with no problem at all. The new doors fit perfectly snug. The customer service we received was first rate."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Pleasanton, TX

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
