"I absolutely love the professional job Arnold’s Masonry performed at my house. Arnold is a complete professional when it comes to his work. The items I want to highlight are: · Arnold was very through and detailed in his proposal. There were NO surprises. Everything we asked for he spelled out in detail. · His estimate was by far the most economical and detailed. He detailed out all costs in the proposal. There were no hidden or missed costs. Everything was detailed out. · One thing I love is that he was a one stop guy. He managed and owned all aspects of the project. · The steps and walkway he rebuilt far exceeded our expectations. He really created a focal point to the front of my house. · His team not only performed a spectacular job in replacing the existing railings but added a walkway railing for the step there. · Also he refabricated a retaining wall next to the steps and his recommendation on the type of wall far exceeded what we had asked for. · His creation of a Belgian block edging with mulch on one side of the house and on the other side A Belgian block edging with stone fill really added a refreshing look to the outside of my house. · His team also replaced siding pieces for me that had been damaged over the years. Arnold was there for the ENTIRE time the work had to be performed. He met with me each day and kept me in the loop of his progress. Arnold kept his word on how long the project would take and when he said he would be there he was PROMPT and kept to the schedule. My wife and I are so pleased with not only with the work that was performed but with the professional and courteous manner both he and his crew treated both me and my wife. "Colonial Restorations was superb.   Our family very much enjoyed working with Brad Green and Tom Green.  

At the outset, they made thorough assessments of our family's barn, identifying several problem areas and offering multiple proposals for how best to address each (including strategies and estimates).  They walked through the different proposals with us, addressing all questions and discussing different options.  This was extremely constructive and important to the process. 

They demonstrated very clear understanding of post-and-beam wood construction.  They displayed great expertise in working with wood (white oak, red oak, hemlock) and with the tools, jacks and cribbing needed for this work.  They worked carefully, always putting in place the necessary jacks and cribbing in advance of each phase of this project.

They were clear about their schedule and were very responsible about communicating with us.  If there were a day that they would not be on site, they let us know ahead of time.  With the exception of a snow storm and an illness, they were on site five days a week from the first week in January till the second week in February, 2016.  

By the completion of this project, Colonial Restorations had made significant and important structural repairs to our barn.  This work was done with care, craft, accuracy, and to code.  (All elements of this project were examined and passed by the building inspector.)  Most important, these repairs respected and worked with the existing structure and materials of the barn.

We could not be happier with these repairs or with the work done by Colonial Restorations.  It was a pleasure working with Brad and Tom."

Historical home required rotten wood replacement ? numerous locations around the house require replacement or repair of external wood siding, trim work - excellent workmanship very happy with work performed.

External Paint  sanding (prep) ? wet sanding of the home went quickly and very clean  - superb workmanship very happy with work

External Paint tape (prep)- this is where the project was very slow and time seem to take forever to complete ? 2 weeks of taping .

External Paint ? primer coat - excellent workmanship very happy 1 day

External Paint ? base color 2 coats - excellent workmanship took too long to complete-  8 days

 External Paint ? trim color - excellent workmanship took too long to complete- 5 days

If you are not looking to get house done quickly 1-2 weeks then these are the guys for you excellent work but slow

"Dirk, the owner/operator of Jamieson LLC, arrived at the specified time.  He took down the entire wall, stacked it neatly, replaced the eroded base material, and  rebuilt the wall.  He corrected the problem and built the wall better than it was prior to his efforts.  When he was done, the area where he had collected material (both old and new) was left cleaner than it was before he started.  He was determined to finish the job in one day and worked past 8PM to do so.  If there were any questions, he would stop work and wait until a final decision (mine) was made before continuing.  
Based on the work and effort expended, I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

"We have know and trusted SANTOS, and his team, for decades. He is a superb carpenter and knowledgeable in all areas of home building and repair. He comes up with solutions for any job, small or larger, inside or outside the home, that needs repair. He has helped my husband and I install stone columns in front of his place of business. He diligently found the leaking in our home’s roof and walls and expertly rebuilt the entire side of the kitchen and walls. I think I have a photo. There are too many jobs to list. (April 2019) My Mom has now hired SANTOS and his team to repair, sand, prime and paint her entire house and she is so happy I recommended him and now her neighbor has him booked! "Order arrived quickly - all in good condition. Have been using them for quite a while now. I love that the pieces lock together magnetically - so no sliding around. You can choose your colors: top and bottom. You do the measuring - they have instructions on how to do that - and it is very simple. Their order department was very accommodating when I called.
