"I have been a customer for a very long time and this scheduled maintenance and dryer vent cleaning was done by Cesar. I have to say he is one very thorough technician and I was very pleased with his inspection and vent cleaning. His service was so different than some of the ones I've had before. I even had one inspector tell me he didn't need to check in my attic which houses one of our two units. Let me tell you about Cesar, he even cleaned up behind my dryer for me. This is something that is rare in customer service. I have my HVAC seasonally maintenanced and never had a inspector be as thorough as him. The pictures he took and explained to me and the one problem he found that no other inspector had found in all this time. I tried to spare him from the attic heat for the repair and have him return on another day in the morning but he didn't mind going back in there to fix the problem for us although it was in the dead heat of the day. I just hope the company sees this review and knows what a good technician they have in Cesar."

"I have used Grove for many years, and even had them replace on of my failing units. Within the past 18 months, our secondary unit started having problems and Grove came out multiple times to service the unit, explaining that it was losing refrigerant and needed to be replaced. They were always very quick to provide an estimate to replace the unit after charging it. Before replacing the unit we had a different vendor come to give a second opinion, to ensure we were informed and I am so happy that we did. We found that the unit wasn’t only running out of refrigerant, but that it was massively overcharged and that the overpressure safeties had been defeated. I’m not sure if Grove was simply negligent or if they were trying to trick us into paying for a replacement, but I can say that I won’t be using them again. The unit they replaced for us is already dead, and they are quoting us an additional $2k to repair it, putting the total cost for the unit at nearly $10k. All said I have probably paid Grove thousands of dollars and it’s impossible to tell what of that was legitimate and what of it was them running up the bill. I can tell you that at one point they made an emergency visit late at night, spent 15 minutes looking at, and cleaning my compressors, charged me $1000, and then proceeded to text me pictures of them on vacation, presumably enjoying spending the money I had paid them. While I really like Grove, I would suggest you get a second opinion regarding whatever they tell you and that you check your bill very thoroughly."

I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement.
