"DJ did a great job installing my new pool pump at a very reasonable price. He even removed my old nonfunctional heater at no additional cost to me. He's a really nice guy too!"

"I've been with Lennie and Janel for six years. I have monthly service; bought major pump and motor parts; and a full pool refurb (22' x 44', 30K gal). I am fully satisfied with their quality service and personal approach."

"Juan has been in business over 20 years and their quality of work sure shows. They replastered and retiled our 20 year old pool in about 3 weeks. This included building a tanning ledge in the shallow end. Juan communicated with us through the entire process and Manuel’s pool care afterwards was fantastic! The pool is absolutely beautiful and looks better than when it was built! I have already recommended them to a friend. J&M is your choice for a pool remodel. You can trust them to do exactly as they say."

"CHARGED MORE THAN QUOTED, DIDN'T APPLY 20% DISCOUNT, DIDN'T CLEAN POOL CONCRETE SURFACES, DID'T RECOGNIZE THAT REAL PROBLEM WAS BAD WATER FILTER, FAILED TO STAY ON JOB, FAILED TO SUGGEST INEXPENSIVE WAYS TO REFILL POOL. SEEMED LIKE NICE GUY BUT I DIDN'T GET MY MONEY'S WORTH OF SERVICE."

"About a month later, I got a call that the clock was ready. I arrived five minutes before closing time, as the woman co-owner drove away. She returned and opened the store. When she handed me the clock, I was aghast. The slender hands of this elegantly simple brass clock had been replaced with gaudily ornate black hands. On the clock back, a large hole had been gouged, evidently to replace the movement. Where the setting knobs had been, there were now more big holes with flat plastic dials deep inside. The woman said I was supposed to turn those to set the clock, but I was unable to do so. I told her that the clock was not repaired, but vandalized. She said the movement for that clock wasn't made any more, so they installed what they could find in their shop! She also offered to order a movement from the clock manufacturer, "which will be a lot more expensive," but I would not be charged extra for that. She aded that evidently "there hadn't been clear communication." Well, actually, there was, and the owner had gone on to unilaterally decide to do a shlock, jimmy-rigged "repair" without my knowledge or permission."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Poolville, TX

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
