"Very great company to work with - communication was frequent and professional. Helped not only remove the asbestos (Vermiculite) but also assisted with the paperwork relevant for reimbursement from the ZAI trust. Would highly recommend engaging them for your asbestos needs."

"Jesse and his team did an amazing job. We had a difficult situation with our house being flooded and finding out our house had asbestos in it. Jesse was very clear with the plan of attack and was patient to answer every question that me and my wife had. Jesse kept prompt and clear communication through the whole process. I would highly recommend going with this company with if you ever have to get your house abated. Cost wise they were more than half of what was quoted to us from serv pro. Give Jesse a call at Cap environmental he will definitely take care of you and your needs."

"I am very very pleased with the work being done by this company. In a few short months they have already closed 12 out of 36 accounts that were on my credit report. I would highly recommend Credit Repair of Florida to anyone who is looking to improve their credit and just doesn't have the time to do it. I simply pay one low monthly fee and they do everything for me! With my busy schedule there is just no way I had the time to sit down and do all of this myself. I am glad I made the decision to hire them to do all of this for me! It is well worth every penny! Thank you guys! :)"

"First of al when I called the company, I was told that my property was out the the territory they normally service, we barted and I agreed to pay a $35.00 service charge. They set us quick once I showed them what needed to be done. I had previous to their arrival moved all furniture, other than beds as other companies used sliders to move the big stuff out of the way and once cleaned moved them back, this company did not! I questioned them and the head guy Adam said the company did not want to accept the responsibiligy for damage in moving certain things, etc. To speed things up I had vacummed all carpeted/ rug areas and moved what furniture/items that I could do by my self to expedite the process. Noramlly they will vacumm them selves to ensure a good clean steam cleam but they started cleaning with the assumption that all floor had been vacummed. I have had other carpet cleaners move everything in one direction until that particluar area had been vacummed before being steam cleaned and then moved the items back and continue to clean the remaining area. Other than these problems, the carpets were pretty clean and the job was quick."

FAQs for asbestos abatement projects in Port Bolivar, TX

Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring mineral fibers once commonly used in building materials because of their resistance to heat, electricity, and corrosion. However, in 1975, research confirmed that these fibers cause mesothelioma and other cancers, leading to strict usage laws. If your home contains asbestos, removing it can prevent long-term health effects. You'll often find asbestos in the flooring, ceilings, pipes, and roofing of homes built before the 1990s. Common asbestos-containing materials include vermiculite insulation, vinyl flooring, millboard, and corrugated roofing. If you suspect you have asbestos or any of these materials in your home, it's important to hire a reputable abatement company to perform testing.

Currently, there is no federal licensing mandate for asbestos removal contractors. However, certain cities and states require certification and specialized training. For example, in some areas, contractors handling asbestos must receive an Asbestos Handler Certification. Be sure to check your local laws to ensure any contractor you hire meets the necessary requirements.

Homes constructed before the 1990s can conceal asbestos within building materials, and testing provides a definitive answer. You should have your home tested by a certified asbestos inspection service. This professional evaluation identifies hazardous materials and determines whether removal or encapsulation is necessary. Testing safeguards your family’s health and supports smart budgeting for remediation.

Federal law does not require you to disclose the presence of asbestos when selling your home. However, certain states and local jurisdictions impose disclosure regulations that you must follow. Testing and professional remediation confirm that hazardous materials are properly managed. This proactive approach not only meets legal requirements but also protects your property’s value and buyer health.

Asbestos removal affects a home’s resale value because hazardous materials can deter potential buyers. Having toxic substances present lowers buyer confidence and may reduce the property’s value by 1% to 15% if not addressed. Professional remediation ensures safety standards are met and preserves marketability, protecting your long-term investment.

Grants exist at both federal and state levels to support asbestos testing and removal projects. Local housing programs may also offer financial assistance when asbestos is discovered during home repairs. Meeting certification and testing standards is required to secure these funds, which help to manage overall project costs while ensuring safe remediation.
