"Professional, prompt and reasonably priced. I hired AIO to perform an asbestos abatement (small scale project) and they showed up on time, performed the job well, provided the necessary documentation and testing. Zero complaints. Would use again."

"Forrest was prompt, professional and very thorough in his report. We are moving back to the area, and could not be at the actual inspection. Forrest took the time to go through each part of the inspection report (including a lot of photos) with my husband and I over the phone, answered all our questions, and seemed to have covered just about every square inch of this property. He was straight-forward about some of the issues the house had, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us great advice. In addition, he was a genuinely nice guy and a delight to work with. What more could you ask for?"

"All the work was done by workers who specialized in the task assigned. They were all polite and open to answering questions about what they were doing. After the subfloor had been removed by qualified asbestos technicians, another worker installed the new subfloor and the toe kicks and cabinet shelf.  The new vinyl plank flooring was installed by an excellent vinyl flooring installer.  All the workers were conscientious and careful.  They all cleaned up as much as possible in their work area. the end result is an attractive and fuctional kitchen. If we ever have this problem again, we would call this company. <br />"

"Roofer was on time and very helpful. I had a small leak over my garage which he seemed to be able to analyze immediately. I have had problems with roofers in the past and I will definitely use this roofer again. .He did not try to sell me a bunch of stuff I did not need. <br />"

"It went very well.  They had removed asbestos in the hall in 2012 so when it came time to remove the kitchen vinyl I called on them again.  I teased I needed a repeat customer discount and to my surprise I got one!  Everyone was professional, hardworking, and everything was done on time and as planned. <br />"

"The house inspector suspected we had some mold in the basement when we came to sell the house. I contacted 12 Stones Mold Cleaning and Mr Albert came the next day to treat the room. 24 hours later he returned to sample the air through a filter, which he sent off to a lab in S Carolina for evaluation. We received the result within 2 days by phone. <br /> Mr Albert then emailed me a professionally written report the very next day. The email also had the lab report and a sheet which helped to explain the data on the lab report, as attachments. <br /> The mold level in the basement after treatment was extremely low (260), which is considered trivial (Anything below 500 spores/cubic meter is classified as Very Low. By comparison, 4000 - 6000 is considered High). <br /> I can highly recommend this company as not only was the work done extremely well, but Mr Albert was totally professional and honest. <br /> I made about 8 phone calls to various mold remediation companies before selecting 12 Stones Mold Cleaning and was generally left with the impression of fast talking sales and an uneasy feeling that this could end up costing me far more than I anticipated. In contrast, 12 Stones Mold Cleaning left me with a confident feeling that a good job would be done at a very fair price. I was not disappointed. <br />"

"We had encountered hail damage to our house. <br /> First when the company representative had come out and spoke to me, he had mentioned they use <br /> a certain brand of siding (Charter Oak by Alside) and gave me a brochure on it. <br /> He gave me an initial quote for the new vinyl siding, shutters, gutters, and <br /> downspouts. Then he came out and all the products were picked out which <br /> included Charter Oak vinyl siding. The final quote was given at $3,000 more <br /> than the original quote which was a big shock and very upsetting. How could somone <br /> be so far off from their initial quote? When I questioned about the $3,000 <br /> difference, he said the quote was originally priced for their basic siding <br /> which is less expensive. Nothing was ever said about this basic siding. This <br /> product was never mentioned before and why did he say they used a certain brand <br /> and then in the quote base it on another product. This started in May and got <br /> the final quote in August. They haven't done any work for us. It sounded all <br /> good at the beginning and what he could do for me and then it went downhill. <br /> This company was referred to me by my insurance company and I will probably be contacting them to let them know what <br /> happened so someone else won?t go through the same thing.  <br />   <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for asbestos abatement projects in Cincinnati, OH

Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring mineral fibers once commonly used in building materials because of their resistance to heat, electricity, and corrosion. However, in 1975, research confirmed that these fibers cause mesothelioma and other cancers, leading to strict usage laws. If your home contains asbestos, removing it can prevent long-term health effects. You'll often find asbestos in the flooring, ceilings, pipes, and roofing of homes built before the 1990s. Common asbestos-containing materials include vermiculite insulation, vinyl flooring, millboard, and corrugated roofing. If you suspect you have asbestos or any of these materials in your home, it's important to hire a reputable abatement company to perform testing.

Currently, there is no federal licensing mandate for asbestos removal contractors. However, certain cities and states require certification and specialized training. For example, in some areas, contractors handling asbestos must receive an Asbestos Handler Certification. Be sure to check your local laws to ensure any contractor you hire meets the necessary requirements.

Homes constructed before the 1990s can conceal asbestos within building materials, and testing provides a definitive answer. You should have your home tested by a certified asbestos inspection service. This professional evaluation identifies hazardous materials and determines whether removal or encapsulation is necessary. Testing safeguards your family’s health and supports smart budgeting for remediation.

Federal law does not require you to disclose the presence of asbestos when selling your home. However, certain states and local jurisdictions impose disclosure regulations that you must follow. Testing and professional remediation confirm that hazardous materials are properly managed. This proactive approach not only meets legal requirements but also protects your property’s value and buyer health.

Asbestos removal affects a home’s resale value because hazardous materials can deter potential buyers. Having toxic substances present lowers buyer confidence and may reduce the property’s value by 1% to 15% if not addressed. Professional remediation ensures safety standards are met and preserves marketability, protecting your long-term investment.

Grants exist at both federal and state levels to support asbestos testing and removal projects. Local housing programs may also offer financial assistance when asbestos is discovered during home repairs. Meeting certification and testing standards is required to secure these funds, which help to manage overall project costs while ensuring safe remediation.
