After calling around for over a week Midwest Abatement was the first company to get back to me and say they could do the work. They were quick to respond and provide an estimate for the work, and even got me on their schedule in a timely manner. They are very professional and provided an air quality check after removal. "We had water seepage/damage in our basement and had to pull up all of our floor tiles in 2 rooms in the basement before we could install a new sump pump/drainage tile system. The floor tiles looked suspicious for asbestos containing materials (ACM). We took a sample of the floor tile to Bussey Environmental to be tested. Bussey confirmed that the tile (but not the mastic underneath) contained ACM. Bussey recommended Bluestone to remove and abate the floor tiles and mold. We hired Bluestone and they gave us a very detailed proposal (much more detailed than other proposals we received) and a reasonable price. Bluestone arrived on the appointed time and day (even came a little earlier). The crew chief was James (Jimmy) Santellano. Jimmy was very professional and friendly and could not have been more accommodating. Bluestone removed all of the floor tiles and abated the mold in the basement rooms. They performed the work in accordance with strick industry standards for removal of hazardous materials. They finished the job in about 6-7 hours and after they finished we had the air tested for both asbestos and mold. We passed all of the tests. Bluestone left the job both clean and neat and ready for the next phase of our basement work. We would recommend Bluestone very highly."
