"Discovering we had a potential roof leak as water was pouring from the Over Hang/Soffit vents, we called for an onsite visit with 3 local SW Florida roofing contractors. Kelly Roofing was by far the most professional and competent in response and following up to schedule their initial on-site visit. After a complete and detailed review of the specific problem, as well as, a total review of the entire roof tiles, vents and inspection of the attic area, provide a detailed review using a computer assisted program to outline a Scope of Work, a detailed Project Proposal and statement of Work Guarantee. The Proposal provided options for the initial project of repairs plus suggested repairs for other potential longer-term problems and options for improvements for heating and cooling benefits associated with both upgrades for roof vents and enhanced insulation to our attic area. The Project Manager-Chris Klimaszewski-did not try to sell or over sell what I was facing with the initial problem that he was called to investigate. He explained the basic three options that he discovered after review of the property. The initial leak was a result of the membrane under the tile valley) deteriorating and causing water to leak into the attic and exiting through the overhang and then soffit vents. The second option was to repair the remaining three tile valleys which, although not yet leaking, were badly worn. The third option was to suggest installation five (5) of attic/roof vents, upgrade the existing plumbing vents, and add additional attic insulation (from an R-12 to R-36) to bring greater efficiency to potential savings for A/C & Heating energy costs. When confronted with the range of costs to complete either Option 1/2/3, Chris was able to structure the suggested Proposal options with a series of time phased financing to give me the ability to get work done now (fix the leak), as well consider the other (sooner or later) problems that would require repairs, plus the potential for cost and energy savings over the longer term. We decided to do it right-fix and improve – the near-term problem and invest for the longer-term cost savings and improvements to our property. Kelly Roofing scheduled and completed the work from the initial visit to job completed in approximately three (3) weeks and reviewed and tracked progress with repeated email updates and progress pictures of their work. Upon completion of the job, they held an on-site review and evaluation/question session with me and sign off (with their Project Supervisor- Kelvin Mejia) before submitting an invoice for the total project. They did not require any Down Payment or Progress Payments. The payment in full (which I accepted their finance option) was not required until the job was completed and accepted by me. I highly recommend and would hire Kelly Roofing for my next roofing repair or upgrade."

"The job was quoted as removing 8 existing windows and replacing with new aluminum framed hurricane impact windows.  I got a quote from John Hull, Home Depot and Lowes.  Hull was the least expensive.  When quoting the job, the rep did not notice that my existing window frames were stucco'ed in to the house, therefore the installer had a very hard time taking them out.  The amount of time they were on the job was probably double the time expected.  Still, all was done professionally and no one tried to negotiate a new price. <br />"

"I sent an email requesting a quote on the job.  Very quickly I received an email asking if I would prefer to send pictures of the job or if I would like someone to come to my home.  I wanted someone to come to my home and they responded that Chris would be calling me.  Chris called about 2 days later we arranged a time for him to come to my house.  He called a few hours before the time we had arranged and asked if it was okay for him to come early as he was in the area.  I said that was fine and he arrived a short time later.  He was very professional and looked at the jobs, took some measurements and said they would be in touch.  Tom called me the next day with the quote and he emailed the contract the same day.  After I had bought the cabinets and had picked them up I sent in the contract with the deposit.  I got an email when it was received and was told that Chris would call to set up a time to do the job.  When I hadn't heard anything for a week I sent an email asking when I might hear from him.  They sent an email back apologizing for the delay and said that I should receive a call within the next 2 days.  I did receive a call the next day and we set up a time for the next week. <br /> Chris and his helper, David arrived right on time and got right to work.  They were here about 3 hours and did a wonderful job.  They were both very pleasant to have around.  The cabinets were hung very securely and he brought his own trim piece and spacer and painted them to match the cabinets.  He drilled holes for the cabinet knobs even though I had forgotten to buy some so it was simple for me to screw them on when I bought some.  He also cleaned up everything. <br /> The shower looks like new as he used an acid wash to clean the grout and replaced all the old caulk. <br /> I am more than happy with the job Chris and David did and would definitely use UpKeepers for any future jobs."

"I'm so glad I persevered and found this company. Stable Foundation Solutions is based in Lake City but does work throughout the state. In fact, South Florida is their most frequent destination. The company is a bit of a hidden gem right now due to admittedly being slow to update the website and gain footing on the review sites. Stable Foundation was logical and analytical throughout, focusing on my needs, not what they could sell via scare tactics and worst case scenarios. Foundation diagnosis and estimates are all over the map. I found that out the hard way. Basic reason: You can’t see what is going on underneath. That bedroom sink hole several years ago accelerated public fear. I sampled 6 companies. Estimates ranged from $3600 to above $24,000. Stable Foundation wasn’t lowest but among the lowest and easily the best value in terms of sensibly addressing areas of greatest need, while leaving scare tactics alone. In contrast, I had one high profile company (beginning with N) whose salesman launched convulsions every time he turned the corner: “That’s a stepladder crack…the worst sign of all.” I think he expected me to fall down in a seizure of terror. As a handicapper I love litmus tests. There was a basic one with my project. The back addition to the house was clearly slipping, but just as obviously the two corners were not under identical stress. Back was the long term problem, not the sides. Yet one company after another was robotically assigning two piers on each side, and only one in each back corner. I didn’t say anything. I waited for someone to pass the litmus test. It was mindful of my 24 years in the Las Vegas betting scene. Finally Steven from Stable Foundation matter of factly identified the logical remedy and placement: Two push piers at each back, and only one on the less troubled side. Steven also was the only one who placed back push piers on either side of a double door that was sticking and very difficult to lock. Again, I intentionally didn’t mention that it was sticking. I wanted someone to identify the likelihood, based on the cracked visuals. Only Steven did. I really appreciated that the 3-man project crew was knowledgable and offered input, as opposed to merely showing up to complete the job. Randall was crew leader. He quickly investigated why I had cracks and sinking in so many areas. I had assigned it to a deep crack in the pool, causing erosion underneath. Randall didn’t think so. He saw the spot drain but couldn’t find anywhere it emptied. That is my only pool drain. Randall removed the drain grate and discovered that I’ve essentially had a dummy drain for 40+ years, dumping water under the foundation of the house, smack near the middle. There was 3 inches of pipe underneath the grate, but not connected to anything. Just resting there. From lack of disturbance it was obvious the pipe had never been connected. I remember my dad didn’t trust that contractor from the outset. It was mid ‘70s and one problem and delay after another. The contractor for that addition became a curse word within the family. My dad passed away several years ago. I doubt he would be surprised at the latest discovery. Miss Debbie was friendly and positive while handling payment. Only 30% was required prior to completion...lower than other companies. Travis as Project Manager provided a specific schedule 2 weeks in advance. They met the schedule. One caution: Don't paint exterior walls prior to push pier installation. The Model 300 mechanism does tend to vibrate and can bump against walls, requiring modest patching."

"I am very satisfied with Atlantis Roofing. Let's face it, a new tile roof is expensive and installation is critical, you don't want some yahoo up there especially given Florida weather. Atlantis was super, the company was polite and responsive, great guys to work with. I called with a question several times during the reroof and Mike was at my door within 15 minutes. They do a lot of work in my community because their work quality is very high. Atlantis uses the best quality roofing materials and installation methods. I highly recommend them. <br />"
