"This was an extremely disappointing experience. The sales team and production coordinator demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism. The sales representatives made promises they should not have and submitted incorrect work orders, which resulted in a crew arriving on-site without the proper knowledge, tools, or materials to complete the job. The production coordinator, instead of resolving the issue, appeared more focused on flexing authority than serving the customer?ultimately making the situation worse. In the end, their actions forced the project manager to spend unnecessary time and energy just to ensure Home ?Genius? met their contractual obligations. For that, I give credit to Jonathan, and I am deeply appreciative of the installation team for their hard work. Recommendation: Consumers should avoid using Home ?Genius.? If I could rate them lower than one star, I would."

"I am having a truly unpleasant experience with 7th State Builders. I paid 14,450.00$ deposit in good faith. They were contracted to rebuild my deck, place a roof structure and screen on the deck. I trusted that they would complete the work. Instead, they took my money and one year later had not even started on the project. Not only did they fail to perform the agreed-upon services for the deck, but I was forced to hire an attorney to try and recover my deposit. Which I haven?t yet (over one year). Thus, creating unnecessary expenses to an already frustrating situation. I would strongly advise against using this company. "From the minute we reached out about a roof Inspection and estimate everyone from the home genius team was incredibly polite and professional! We became so comfortable and confident with them and in just a short 24 hour turn around time we signed a contract and had our roof replaced the following day! The crew showed up at 7am and got right to work! They took the necessary steps and precautions to ensure that the roof was properly installed and to ensure all the problem areas were addressed! They came back the following day to wrap up and complete any remaining work. I highly recommend the crew that installed our roof! Angel Martinez the project manager, was very polite, responsive and any time I had a question or concern, he was able to address with me and clarify any issues I pointed out! I thank the entire Home Genius team! I would highly recommend them to all family and friends! Definitely an outstanding company to work with!"

"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"
