"Want the job done right hire Mr. Hernandez. He is very knowledgeable about the work he does and definitely a person who can be trusted. Mr. Hernandez along with his Team arrived to do the work on the day he told me he would, they resurfaced my driveway, which they completed same day. Driveway looks great! I would not hesitate hiring him again for any concrete work I need done."

"Our driveway always had a huge dip from the top of the roadway to the start of the driveway. Tom and crew cut out the blacktop and existing driveway and repaved it, making a very smooth transition from the roadway to the driveway. No more bottoming out for us or our guests! To finish that job, he recapped the sidewalls of the driveway. In addition, when we were exchanging cash on the first day of the job, Tom noticed that our sidewalk had a missing chunk of concrete and said, "I'm gonna fix that for you!" Finally, he was also willing to use his concrete saw and backloader to remove an installed basketball goal. He included these small additional services at no extra charge. AAA Concrete cares for their customers and takes pride in their work, and I'm already planning on hiring them again."

"I could not have asked for a better experience! I hired Mr. Torres to replace a large section of aggregate concrete driveway and the retaining wall that adjoined it. Because I live 3 hrs from the project site I had to hire a contractor I could trust sight unseen, and Mr. Torres did not disappoint! He did everything he said he was going to do and kept me informed via phone, text messages, and videos. I have never met him or anyone on his crew in person but I would trust him with any project I needed in the future! Do not hesitate to trust him with your job. He’s honest, fair, reasonable and does high quality work. And he’s also just a really nice young man!"

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Portland, TN

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
