"We had a great experience with Malone Plumbing and Heating. We recently purchased a home that uses oil heat and has a tankless hot water system that was failing. Additionally the expansion tank was failing causing the pressure valve to being to fail. Tom was very professional, prompt and provided a detailed and comprehensive quote in writing. We did not feel pressured to make a decision and felt that we were well informed regarding the job before work began. Jim, who works in the office is great. He responded quickly to our concerns and questions and was very clear in his communication. The job was completed by Eric and Josh who both did a great job! There were some complications with the work however they were able to work around it and I am truly pleased with everything. Our furnace is running much better now. We would definitely recommend them and will call them again for future work needed."

"Louis is the best!! Very conscientious, communicative and does EXCELLENT work. He showed up first thing everyday until the job was done. He had creative solutions for some tricky issues that cropped up with the old house and our modern needs and delivered the best results and appearance. He didn't take the expedient way out--he delivered quality solutions. He explained all the options and gave advice where needed and didn't try to up-sell me for his benefit. He understood the scope of the work and was precise in estimating how long each portion would take. He coordinated and communicated with the contractors, electricians and HVAC guys (none whom he had worked with before) so that he could get the job done right and on time--no ego issues or grumping about other's work or timing. He was accommodating with his schedule when he had to comeback after other contractors finished their part so he needed to perform his next step. Even after the bulk of the work was done and paid for, Louis continued to respond to questions via email or text by the next day, and he always came back when he scheduled to. His prices are fair for his top notch craftsmanship, and his work is thorough and neat. He is also very pleasant which is key when you are going to be seeing workers daily. "UPDATE 5/26/14: I'm leaving my old review from April 23rd, but want to update with my recent dealings. In the last month I've reached out maybe several different times over the last month about problems I'm having with my upstairs heating zone, and more recently, my hot water heater pilot light occasionally going out. I was looking to Martel for service. Got VM all times I've called, tried sending texts as the VM greeting says it's my best chance at more immediate service. I spoke with Jim back on 5/2 about the pilot assembly to be replaced, texted the water heater model as asked, and never got a response with a quote. I followed up again last week via text when the pilot light went out twice in one night, didn't get a response to this point. Needless to say, pretty disappointed considering my original dealings with this business. I guess I'll need to look elsewhere. <br /> <br /> Original Review 4/23/14: <br /> I've found Jim to be pleasant to deal with, responsive and fairly priced. My first ever dealing with Martel Plumbing was actually service help over the phone regarding heat for my upstairs zone. I had multiple plumbers shy away from even coming to my house because I mentioned I had a Viessman boiler. I explained the problem to Jim over the phone, he presented what he thought the problem could be and suggested a fix if I was comfortable doing it myself. In the end, he was right and I replaced the zone controller to get my heat back up. I've called Martel twice since that experience, both times to get my hot water heater serviced. Response was never an issue, work done on schedule, and I certainly will look Martel's way when I have a major plumbing/heating project to deal with."

"<p>Statewide Plumbing & Heating did a great job.  It was a crew of 2 people, and they worked hard through the task of fixing a leaky bathroom faucet and then installing a microwave over my range in the kitchen.  For the leaky faucet, the hot side shut-off valve had to be replaced in addition to rebuilding the faucet with new hot & cold cartridge stems, gaskets, & springs.  For the microwave, the crew took down my existing over-the-range hood, then created an outlet with the electrical wiring to plug the microwave into, then installed the brackets for the microwave, then put the microwave in place.  The entire job took about 4 hours.</p> <p>I have used Statewide Plumbing & Heating in the past to install a hot water heater and to install a new gas range as well.  I would use them again.</p> <br />"

"George helped me with finishing a 203(k) after my first contractor abandoned the project. George had to do a bunch of different projects to finish off the rehab. for those familiar with 203(k) getting the cash can be difficult. we also ran into problems with the historic district causing George to have to do extra work to find a suitable window. Aside from the windows, George built a new bathroom after I had gutted the old. As well he had to do installation of fixtures in two other bathrooms and some plumbing repair of the main water and drain lines. As well there were some other small projects that needed completion. George was great the whole way through."
