"I was out of town at the time of this repair and never actually met Russ or his crew but Russ did a fantastic job of communicating with me via text and email. He sent status updates and photos of the befor and after. He also pointed out some issues left behind by the plumbing contractor that proceeded him and Russ went ahead and took care of those issues at no charge to me! I am very happy with the outcome and their above-and-beyond attitude and work ethic!"

Remove existing carpeting and install new flooring in approximately 1,700 sq. ft. of space. o Customer will supply the flooring materials. o Determination of whether transitions are needed will be made after floor removal. 2. Repair kitchen lighting at a cost of $50.00 per man needed. 3. Install a customer-purchased shower at no additional labor cost. Labor & Materials: • Labor will be billed at $75.00 per man-hour. • If Contractor supplies any materials, a 15% markup will be applied to the cost of those materials. • Drive time is charged one way starting at 8:00 AM daily. Estimated Duration: • Flooring installation is estimated to take approximately one week. Start Date: • Work is scheduled to begin July 21, 2025. Payment: • On June 20, 2025, William & Shawn Johnston paid Keystone Remodeling and Restoration Services a $1,500 down payment toward the project. • Project Update – July 7, 2025 • On July 7, 2025, Keystone Remodeling and Restoration Services traveled to Lowe’s to pick up the flooring materials for the project. Due to the flooring not fitting on the Contractor’s small trailer, William & Shawn Johnston arranged for a U-Haul truck to transport the materials to the residence. • Upon delivery, the crew from Keystone Remodeling and Restoration unloaded the flooring and placed it in the living room. Additionally, the Contractor assisted in removing items from the home and loading them into the U-Haul for the Customer. Project Update – July 21, 2025 On July 21, 2025, at 8:00 AM, Keystone Remodeling and Restoration Services entered the home of William & Shawn Johnston to begin scheduled work. The crew removed carpeting throughout the home, completed all flooring installation, removed the old bathtub, and installed a new shower surround. On July 25, 2025, Keystone Remodeling and Restoration Services returned to the home of William & Shawn Johnston to complete the remaining scope of work • Remaining Balance Due: $1,542.82 • Payment made via Check #640: $1,542.82 Final Statement: William & Shawn Johnston were informed by Keystone Remodeling and Restoration Services that this payment represents the balance due for all work completed as of July 25, 2025. Project Update – July 28, 2025 On July 28, 2025, Shawn Johnston received a phone call from Keystone Remodeling and Restoration Services. The Contractor stated that they had miscalculated the final total for the project and claimed a remaining balance due of $800.00. Payment was declined to make any further payment, stating that any miscalculation was the Contractor’s responsibility. It was also noted that the shower was not functional, as the material placed on the pipes had solidified, preventing proper use. Project Update – August 4–12, 2025 • 08/04/2025 – After using the shower, a leak was discovered. Shawn Johnston contacted Keystone Remodeling and Restoration Services to report the issue. • 08/05/2025 – Keystone Remodeling and Restoration visited the property to repair the leak. The crew instructed that the shower not be used for 36 hours. • 08/09/2025 – Upon resuming use of the shower, the leak reoccurred. • 08/11/2025 – Shawn Johnston called Keystone Remodeling and Restoration to report the leak. The call was not returned; however, a voicemail message was left. • 08/12/2025 – Shawn Johnston again called Keystone Remodeling and Restoration to report the continued leak. No response was received. Following the lack of response, Shawn contacted Angi List to report the problem and was informed of the process for filing a formal complaint against the Contractor. Complaint Summary: • Keystone Remodeling and Restoration was paid for work that included installation of a fully functional shower. • The shower continues to leak and is not functional. • The Contractor has allegedly refused to complete necessary repairs unless an additional $800.00—an amount disputed by the Customer—is paid. • The Customer believes this constitutes an attempt to collect funds not owed and is effectively being “held hostage” for payment. • The Contractor has not provided requested billing documentation from Lowe’s for materials purchased. Despite being paid a total of $11,262.82—well above the initially discussed project cost of approximately $8,000—the Contractor has: 1. Failed to deliver a fully functional shower, which continues to leak despite multiple repair attempts. 2. Refused to address the ongoing leak unless an additional, disputed $800.00 is paid. 3. Not provided requested receipts or proof of material purchases from Lowe’s. 4. Confirmed on July 25, 2025, that the account was paid in full, then later attempted to alter the final balance. ________________________________________"

"Company is inconsistent and sometimes unreliable. Performed good work on a first project so I decided to rehire again. They missed the a scheduled appointment—no call no show. We rescheduled for another time, but they didn’t return phone calls, voicemails or emails so I just hired another company."

He was so prompt, professional, friendly, had all information ready for us to submit to homeowners Insurance. Randy explained how things and repair would work this happened late November his crew did the patch up for the overwinter and timely came to replace the whole front of roof/gutters just recently as the weather allowed. We can't say enough of how great the job looks and how professional, courteous, and how organized and neat Randy and his crew handled the job. Just so thorough and on top of everything"

"After I got 5 estimates, 3 for Asphalt shingles, 2 for Metal roofing I decided to go with First Choice because Dave explained exactly what he planned to do. The other contractor wanted to install the metal roof over the exiting Shingles even after I explained that I suspected that some wood decking was damaged and needed to be replaced. I was able to do everything over the phone and via email as I am currently deployed overseas.

  • Met with Gino early June. Original contact with him (he called) was 3 hours after my email on a Sunday! Met with him several times going over what we wanted, gave him architectural drawings of the deck and discussed materials to be used. We had some concerns over attaching such a large structure to the house and wanted to be sure we would have no problems with it shifting or collapsing and to make sure the weight bearing was addressed with all posts etc. He was great to deal with, able to reach easily and quick to sign the contracts and pick up the deposit. I called 3 references, all glowing. All stated Gino's men worked from 7:00am to 7:00pm and finished the jobs in the assigned time and quality of work was excellent. 2 were repeat customers and some even referred him to their friends and actually he was on those additional jobs then. Sounded GREAT!
  • Contracts signed 6-22-12
Promised start date 7-16-12 and quoted a 10-14 day job. The only item not included in our original plans was the railing. We changed our minds and added the railing to the bid on 7-17-12 and paid for supplies and labor for this addition in full. Not once did Gino mention this may cause an extension on the original 10-14 day job time.
Promised start date delayed a week to 7-23-12. No one showed up. We had to call him to see what was going on! He then promised they would be there on 7-25-12, no one showed. FINALLY they showed up on 7-28-12. He offered NO explanation at that time.
His employees would not show up for days with no explanation. Weather was cooperative. I found the prIncipal problem to be inexperienced employees with little to no supervision, they seem unsure as to what to do. Some errors in work were so obvious I noticed them! All issues we pointed out were corrected promptly.
Here is a timeline of the work done using my dated photographs as a reference so as to be fair and accurate:
July 28th-siding removed (3/4 of the back of my home is exposed to the elements). Holes being dug for sonna tubes. (note-they did have to dig in bedrock and actually needed jackhammers for a few of them).
August 3rd-sonna tubes in. 3 long beams in for the base of the deck (extending to the back from the house).
August 7th-framing has been done for the second time. First time they had such a bow in it that a foreman ripped it out and redid it in a day!
August 13th-started roof beam frame.
August 15th-roof frame complete.
August 20th-shingles on the roof complete-more siding removed.
August 22-face of the roof completed. (triangle part now solid)
August 25th-face of the roof now has scalloped siding
August 28th-inside of roof framed for soffit.
August 30th-2 of the 3 columns up, 14 X 22 section of decking almost complete.
August 31st-all decking down, 3 columns done- still no siding on my house. We have been having major water damage to the interior of our home due to heavy rainfall and no siding. Spoke with GIno about our concerns but still no finish date set.
September 7th-railing 3/4 done, still missing siding and steps.
September 13th railing complete, still needs soffit work and gutters. Siding now beginning to be being replaced but it has been almost 2 months without siding!
September 21st-soffit work completed. Siding is on and has been cleaned with a pressure washer.  Finally able to place my recently purchased furniture (June) onto my deck. Still needs lattice work completed but at least now I can sit on my deck (in a jacket!) Just in time to put the furniture away for the winter!
October 3rd-lattice work complete. Deck finally finished.
To sum up my experience with Gino and ECO Builder Services:
The end result was a beautiful deck. He always returned our calls even when he knew we were upset or angry.

What I did not like
The time promised for the job (10-14 days) did not equal the time it took to finish the job! (82 total days/60 work days if you count Monday to Friday).
When I addressed this with Gino I was met with rude comments, him hiding behind 2 separate contracts of 10-14 days , plus the add on contract (for items he neglected to include in the original bid!) 5-7 days and stating the times listed for each job were consecutive.  While I understand weather may play a part in missing some days here and there, I can assure you that the weather was the least of it. Lack of appropriate workers on site was always the problem.

I did not appreciate being bumped for more "important" clients and being the subject of his poor time management skills. Spending $19,000 on a deck and not being able to use it for an entire year is not what I had in mind back in mid JUNE.

"I will use McNeely Construction for all of my home improvement needs! I had a leak in my roof that caused damage to the ceiling in my bedroom. I called five companies and explained the situation and requested bids. A couple were in my range, but I thought I would try one more, and I am so glad I did! They were the only ones to offer to tarp or temporarily patch the hole until the work began – that was the first clue that I was dealing with a company that puts their customers first. The estimator, Brandon, was at my house on time and he was able to answer all of my questions. I didn’t feel any pressure to sign a contract, but I did because of the amazing customer service and the price was right. Six days later, I had a new roof and it looks fabulous! The ladies in the office, Sheri and Janelle, kept in constant contact with me before and after the job. The next day, I had a neighbor ask me who I used because they loved the new roof and needed theirs replaced. I did not hesitate to give them the number for McNeely. I will refer all of my friends and family in the future. .... My next project is siding! I can't wait!"
