"He came out when scheduled and checked the sewer pump. He then checked on various pumps and recommended one of the lowest priced units which he installed without any problem."

Customers say: Quick response

"Prompt response to request, on time for scheduled service, said he would return on Monday to finish up and even though our streets were not plowed (and he knew it), he returned at the time he said he would and completed the job. Courteous as well. Would highly recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing service."

Small jobs welcome

"Make sure the person giving the estimate explains exactly what it looks like. They did not bring their own water to mix the cement. We had to remove the water tank so that they could work and ended up hauling water from the neighbors house."

"I was out of town during Hurricane Irene. When the electricity went out our sump pump stopped working and we had flooding in the basement. After calling a company to tear up the carpet and get the basement dry and with another storm coming, I called Dave's Quality Plumbing to check out our sump pump and repair/replace it. Dave called me back the same day, looked at the sump pump and replaced a broken one for me, which was important because there was another big storm coming the same week. As I have used Dave before for our plumbing needs, I trusted his judgement completely. This was done the day after I called him. Quick service considering alot of people were having plumbing/flooding problems. I also called Dave's Quality Plumbing for more work the following week. We will always call him first for our needs. Dave's Quality Plumbing is the best! <br />"

"Yesterday morning when we got up we noticed that the HVAC unit outside the house was running but very little air conditioning was happening.  I decided to call a repair service.  My boss had a similar problem a few weeks ago so I called him to ask who he used.  He said "Service Today."  I never heard of this company but took his recommendation.  I called to make an appointment and was told "someone would be out in the afternoon." Much to our pleasant surprise, when we returned from Rehoboth the service truck was waiting for us in our driveway, less than an hour after I called.  This company is appropriately names "Service Today."   <br /> I went around to the side of the house where my HVAC air conditioning unit is located and found the serviceman, "Frank", had already repaired the unit.  He said it was a bad capacitor.  He replaced the capacitor.  The total charge was: <br /> Labor 10:08 am to 10:53 am@ $150 per hour, one hour minimum 3/4 hours = $150.00 <br /> Dispatch & Fuel Fee=                                                                                                          28.82 <br /> For a total charge of                                                                                                       $178.82 <br /> The serviceman accepted my Discover card as payment. <br /> He was professional, friendly and efficient. <br /> I will definitely use this company again.  In fact, I have arranged to have a service agreement with them for any future problems in my house. <br />"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"They are very good, and very prompt.  They came to do the work the day after I called them.  About three years ago, they put the pump in for me, so it was under warranty but I had to pay for the labor for them to pull it out and replace it.  We will continue to use them in the future. "

"Initially, all went well. But in the middle of the cold snap my wife got very nervous about only having a 1/4 tank of fuel oil. We tried to get a delivery and they tried to deliver, but the driveway was icy and the driver didn't want to chance sliding off the driveway trying to deliver oil. We asked them to try again after I had added salt to the driveway, but it wasn't enough to completely satisfy them. But, my wife persuaded them to try again and they were able to come to make the delivery. But, they had a tough time leaving the premesis as the driveway was still somewhat icy. They tried multiple times and finally exited the driveway. We then agreed that scheduling it monthly would work out for both parties since the oil delivery person could make deliveries when the weather was good and we would keep the oil level higher in case of a terrible storm or some other disaster, we would have more than the minimum amount of fuel oil. <br />"

"We've been happy with the system. The only issue we had was with the installer who left the job site after he finished without let us know or giving any instructions or information about operation of the system. Basically, he just picked up and left. After I contacted the salesperson and explained what happened, he came out, apologized, and explained the system operation and maintenance."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Queen Anne, MD

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
