"Start was delayed by one day but this was communicated early so it didn't matter to me. Job done in two days, looks very nice. Their quote was half of what I was quoted by another company sitting pretty on here with tons of reviews, but was more than a third quote I got. Jim was admirably clear and direct about his professional philosophy, which I appreciated. I certainly hope not to ever need them again, of course, but would recommend them to others."

"They were very receptive to our ideas and were able to answer all questions about the design of the system that we wanted for our home.  We tried to ask all the questions before the project ever started to make sure all parties were on the same page and the process would flow quite smoothly.  We needed to have the heat pump removed a few days early to allow for another contractor the access to pour a new patio which we wanted to have the heat pump set on.  The first team arrived and removed the old heat pump and did it very professionally. Two days later the next team arrived, on time as promised, introduced themselves and looked over the project and commenced the removal and installation of the new air handler.  When that day was completed, we had a new air handler in place along with all the controls wired up and all ducting work complete.  Since we were waiting on cement to dry behind our home, the heat pump was delayed for two days.  Two days later the team returned and installed the heat pump and completed the installation and commissioned the system.  The provider arranged to have an electrician on site during the install each day to make sure all electrical work was completed in a timely manner.  A few short hours later and the work was complete.  We were very satisfied with the installation and look forward to many years of comfort and a good working relationship with this company. <br /> <br /> Follow up Notes: <br /> We were supposed to have a followup technician come out and inspect the installation.  The job was completed on June 6th and as of August 2nd, they have not come out to inspect the installation or to answer any questions.  With repeated contact, we were told that they are short handed and busy with service of faulty air conditioning.  To reach someone on the phone  has been hard. We were able to get a response by email and was told if the outside ventilation during severe cold or hot weather is of issue, then just shut it off.  We had it automated for a reason not to turn it off.  The moral to the story is if you have any questions that will need to be answered after an installation is done, do not pay the bill till everything meets your specifications.    If we had a do over, we would of changed who we used for this project.  Installation was great, customer service is lousy."

"Got three bids. One was from a large Portland company that charged me $142 for the inspection of the chimney, where the guy took pictures, spent a lot of time (an hour) with me to explain all it needed, and then gave me a bid of something around $4,000. He explained that I had many loose bricks and they needed replacing besides some tuckpointing, sweeping, and waterproofing. Bid two was from a smaller company. Said I didn't need to replace bricks, just tuckpoint. With cleaning, tuckpointing, sealing of the flashing and waterproofing, the bid was $1875. Tobias Watts, owner of Tip Top Chimney Sweep, came out and agreed that I did not need to replace any bricks, just tuckpoint. He came out when the weather was decent, did the tuckpointing, waterproofed and swept the chimney, and even painted and sealed the flashing. All for $850. It looks great, and what makes this a rave review is that Tobias is not only an experienced, competent chimney servicer, but he's also a rare contractor - someone who's word is gold and who takes pride in his work and in providing the best service for his customers. Couldn't be better."

"very well. Gaspro cleaned and services our fireplaces a few years ago. Did good work. One stopped working this spring, could not be repaired due to age. Received a few outrageously high bids for replacement from a couple of vendors. Gaspro provided a reasonable bid for amount of work required, and showed a clear understanding of our specific requirements. Work went as planned."

"GREAT! Initially, I thought I'd need a complete replacement. Marl walked the roof and stated that replacement would not be needed for a few years, but he found that the "cricket" area was badly in need of repair. The work was done by Pedro and was efficiently and expertly done. The project took 2 full days and at the end of each day clean up was done to a tee After completion of the work, Mark came back and again climbed up inspecting the work done and took a photo to show what had been done. I will definitely have Superior Roofing re-roof my house when the time comes. Also, when the re-roofing is needed, the work done in the "cricket" will not need to be torn off but, rather, explained was that it will be able to tie it into the areas around the repair. That is that the repair is permanent."

"After getting cheated by another company who stopped going on our roof for the past three years to clean and inspect our 2-story chimney as they should then lied about it to me, leaving us vulnerable to chimney fires, I contacted another company to clean our chimney in November. I was correct; the original company had not been properly cleaning our chimney, nor did they alert us to the deteriorating condition of our chimney, which we use a lot with our wood-burning insert. The second company gave me a quote of $4500 to fix the chimney, saying the bricks up top all needed to be replaced and we needed a new cap, even though ours was not that old. I obviously wanted more information before I spent that kind of money, but the company would never return my calls, no matter how many messages I left. And I wanted other estimates, anyway, but getting chimney companies to contact you is not always easy (I give companies two tries, then they're out). Mr. Chimney, however, was different from the start. I contacted them by email through their website, and within 10-20 minutes, they called me. I was shocked! The office manager was polite and knowledgeable (I questioned her), and had been with the company for several years (high company turnover can be a red flag). We scheduled my free estimate for the next week (spring is the slow season for chimney cleaning, so FYI, this is a good time to do it). Troy, the owner, was right on time. I questioned him, too, showing off all my knowledge from a few minutes of research on The Google. But he didn't mind, and was obviously well-versed in his profession, as he should be, since he started helping his dad when he was 8! He not only inspected our main chimney but asked about our second chimney, which no one in 10 years has ever noticed or mentioned. The bricks were deteriorating on it and he explained why; the previous owner had unfortunately taken out that fireplace and closed up the chimney, but it was not done correctly. He explained in simple terms (my Google Chimney Education only went so far) what needed to be done to both chimneys and that we did not need to replace the bricks or the cap on the main one, but needed new and better crowns on both (they didn't slope but should, for water run-off), some clean-up, and a cleaning. Plus, he would spray them both with a protectant, all for only $1400! Since I had already read his reviews everywhere I could, including nextdoor.com, I knew he had a sterling reputation and I could trust him. So he did the work this week and it's awesome! He's a great guy and knows his stuff. He was very patient and explained what he was doing and why, and I feel confident I made the right choice. I've already recommended him to some friends, and am happy I now have a chimney company I can really and truly trust!"

"They coordinated their cleaning with the installation of a new outdoor and indoor heat pump installation. That saved me some money because Advantage didn't have to open up the return air section of the indoor unit. They arrived on time and thoroughly cleaned every run. We noticed a big difference in dust over the next few days....almost none.     <br />"
