"I wanted to extend my thanks to Brighton Pools for the great job they did on my pool remodel. My pool is a 25-year-old gummite pool that needs a lot of work. It needed new coping stone, water line tile, skimmer, and new plaster to get it back to new condition. Gary with Brighten Pools kept me informed the whole way through, and most importantly stayed on schedule. There was a lot to this job, but Brighton Pools got it done in record time. Brighton Pools contractors were professional and courteous and carried out their tasks without any problems. Thank you, Gary, my pool looks great,"

"After a concrete redo around our pool, the pool had lots of concrete dust, bits of concrete, etc. in it. Brian worked very hard to clean it up. It was a huge task, but he got the job done!"

"Let me say, right at the top, that I was thrilled by the service I received from Wes and John from SunnyDale Electric. <br /> I had been doing some remodeling in my home and in the process, rewired a couple of outlets and added some can lights and ceiling fans in the family room.  Everything worked just fine until I closed up the drywall and painted the walls and ceiling.  Then, nothing worked... <br /> I tried staring as hard as I could at the outlets and switches and lights, and even tried a Vulcan mind meld...but still nothing worked.  So, before opening the drywall and starting over, I called SunnyDale Electric. <br /> They responded, we scheduled, and the two aforementioned electrical experts showed up on my doorstep, right on time.  I showed them the main electrical panel and led them to the dead-receptacle area where they got right to work unraveling several of the electrical connections in the room.  <br /> Everything seemed in order until they checked on an outside light that hadn't been touched in over 50 years, and that fixture turned out to be the culprit.  Something had corroded in there and the resulting crud had interrupted the flow of electricity to all of the outlets and switches in the adjoining room.  After they fixed that problem, the electricity once again flowed to all of the dead outlets and fixtures that had not been working.  They then tidied up all of the outlets and switches they had tested while diagnosing my problems and tucked them all safely and securely into the walls and ceiling. <br /> Then, after a quick diagnostic and temporary fix of an electrical problem in the garage, they left a happy homeowner who was no longer cursing the darkness. <br /> Suffice it to say that I would not hesitate to call SunnyDale electric, and I would encourage others to do so as well.  This was a job well done.  Thanks again, guys! <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Raleigh, NC

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
