"Cristian is the last appliance technician you’re ever going to need! Get rid of the appliance techs you may have saved in your phone. Cristian will give you an honest estimate for the work needed, and a very fair price once the work is done. Cristian will tell you what work needs to be done, and if you’re not home, will text you photos of what needs to be done. ( wife Home while I was at work) Cristian told me that most service tech aren’t really interested in fixing your appliance, but are more interested in charging you a service fee ($50-$75), then telling you your appliance can’t be repaired, or parts are no longer available. They do that 8 to 10 times a day, and make more money making service calls, than actually fixing appliances. I have to admit that that is exactly correct, because i’ve Experienced it. Cristian is an honest appliance tech, and you won’t go wrong using his services!"

"Exceptional service!!! Jason called 15 min before arriving saying he was on his way. He was on-time at the agreed upon timeframe. He quickly assessed the issue with our clothes washer. He removed the top part of the washer and discovered the balance ring was misaligned. He quickly corrected it, put the cover back on and only charged a small fee for the service call. He didn’t even charge for the repair!! I will definitely be referring this company to my friends and call Pro-Tech when I have other appliance issues!!! Thank you!"

"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"We have ordered several replacement parts for various appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator, washer) and everything has always been satisfactory.  Website shows videos on how to install certain parts and also include a diagram of your appliance.  Fast shipping.  Very helpful! <br />"

"My dishwasher has been giving us problems since Thanksgiving.  I called Nutter appliance after reading the reviews on Angie's List and called up. I had an appointment set for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but the owner called that Tuesda and told me their whole crew was wiped out by the flu.  He apologized and gave me another name for a repair service that worked on Bosch dishwashers, but I couldn't schedule them.  I called one of the generic appliance companies that also had good review's on Angie's list because I just wanted it fixed before the Holidays.  Well, needless to say that turned into a series of lost money, waiting around for appliance repairmen and never solving the problem.  I called Nutter again and they scheduled me in for ten days later.  They must have a small crew which is why it took so long.  I had to call at 8:00 am the morning they were scheduled to come out and they'd give me my window of time when the repairman would be there.  No doubt a pain in the rear, but something I think just has to be dealt with by those with downed appliances.  I decided to leave a key outside for him (always makes me a little nervous, but I was desperate).  The guy was right on time and was working on the machine by the time I could make it back to meet him.  Very nice though not overly chatty man.  He took off the front panel of the dishwasher, something the other company never did, checked out all the parts, tested them, and finally fixed the problem by removing pieces of plastic, porcelain, grape stems, and other sundry items from my drain trap.  He said that often is the problem with Bosch machines.  Guess what! He was right.  All that time, money, and energy with the other company telling me they would have to replace the mother board or heating element at around $600.00 total and it came down to pieces of junk in the trap.  Needless to say, I was very happy to have such an honest, easy solution to a two month old problem.  I was derailed by the flu bug and my own lack of patience.  Be patient. Wait for these guys; don't bother with the others it will end up taking twice and long and at least three to four times the frustration and cost. <br />"

"Outstanding workmanship, along with honest and fair pricing. Jack is amazing and we will never call anyone else for appliance repair. He has repaired 3 different appliances for us and is a true professional. We have hired others in the past and no one compares to the job that Jack has done, and you don't feel like you have been gouged."

"I called a few places and they were the only ones that could visit the same day. Arman arrived on the earlier side of the time window they provided and called 20 minutes before arriving. I really appreciated the punctuality and clear communication. Once he arrived, I told him what happened, and he immediately diagnosed the issue, told me the cost, and assessed the options. Thankfully, he had the exact parts required to fix my machine! Not only did he fix my dryer, he thoroughly cleaned the inside portion that you can't get to unless you remove the top and front panels. He was done within an hour of arriving at my house, and we've had no issues since his visit. In addition to this, there's a 3 month warranty on the work completed. I would absolutely hire this company again if I ever have any big appliance issues in the future (knock on wood)."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Rancho Santa Fe, CA

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
