Joel came out looked over the house and garage, shared the company's product portfolio, and in a day left me a very detailed quote. He answered any questions I had regarding the job and warranty via text or phone call immediately. Called the day before to confirm and tell me what to expect. The roofers showed up and the day went as expected. The crew was professional and efficient. The project usually took one day but due to rain it took 2 days. The Forman let me know due to the weather they would wrap up early. My yard was left spotless and my incomplete roof was secure for the rain. The crew returned the next day and completed both roofs in a timely manner. I had to leave and when I returned, my house looked great and my yard was clean with no evidence of anyone ever working. "I was leery of getting a new roof. Our house is almost a hundred years old and had asphalt shingle over the original wood shake. As Matt (owner of MAP Construction) explained to me, when you tear off a wood shake roof, you have to completely re-deck the whole thing. In our case, that would mean almost 90 sheets of plywood. I had heard horror stories about roofing contractors and how unprofessional they were. And getting a new roof is a big scary-- your home is opened up and vulnerable for the few days it takes to complete the job. I was also worried about the high cost of a new roof. I had put away more than $20,000 and ended up spending a lot less. So I decided I would get 5 or 6 estimates. Matt responded first and came to our house at exactly the designated time. "The guys at Rustic Slate Roofing are reliable and skilled roofers. For my more extensive work, they showed up early and stayed until the end of the day, and came back until they were finished with the project. I had a prior contractor charge me a lot to supposedly fix my leaking flat roof (so they just don't do slate) and 2 years later, it was leaking again. Stefan from Rustic Slate said the fix was just temporary, so the flat roofed was repaired again and this time the right way. Rustic Slate has done a great job and I plan to use them for more roof work that I will need to do on my Shaker Hts house. I highly recommend!!!!"
