Small jobs welcome

"Luis helped me install a new back door on my house. My main requirement was that the security sensor on the door be preserved so that they work after the door replacement. I talked to other installers but they were not willing to commit to doing that. Luis was able to fulfill this requirement. He and his crew showed up on time, finished the work quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. He also picked up the door from Lowes for me which saved me some time. I was overall happy with the quality of the work. I was able to get an estimate for the work just by talking to him on the phone and texting him pictures. Luis responded promptly and was courteous. I had a good experience on this interaction and would consider using LD Remodeling again for other projects in the future."

"Wonderful experience working with the entire team. We needed to coordinate with a pergola installation and they coordinated the work extremely well. The entire team was courteous, prompt, professional, and we are very pleased with the work. Josh was a pleasure to work with."

"Marcos did the sale and during our visit he indicated there was a type of grab bar that could attach to the wall behind the commode that would swing down to help mom sit on commode. When it came time to install, no one knew of any such product, That left us with grab bar only on the cabinet side of commode. None on the shower side, After mom fell off the commode we have gone back to placing the bedside commode over the toilet to give her grab bars on both sides. Not a great thing since that bath was also our guest bath. Now guests have to use the master bath. Unfortunately, the end product does not function as we thought it would for mom. We tried to cram too much function into limited space. I wish they had advised me the space was not going to work well. If you need that type of advice perhaps you have to specifically voice concerns. We were in a time crunch and needed the bathroom ready in time for Mom's hospital discharge and they almost made it. They were flexible enough to change schedule to get the dusty part done before Mom arrived.

"Great!  I called them expecting them to give me a huge window for some time next week. Instead, he said I can get a tech there in less than an hour!!! Our issue was no emergency, but the quick service was so nice!  The tech showed up and replaced the sensors pretty quickly and showed me everything I need to know. I used a coupon from here [Angie's List] and got 15% off!  Great service, great company. Very pleased. I hope nothing else goes wrong with my garage door, but if it does I'm calling them AustinTxGaragedoor.com again!

"Salesman was professional and explained all aspects of the products to be installed. The installation crew was great! Timely arrival on work site, friendly and courteous. During the installation they put up barriers to minimize dust and did a great job of cleaning up and removing all debris from the site."

"We had on-going issues with several doors in our home. Rubbing to the point of not being able to close, excessive air gaps in exterior doors, latches not operating correctly, that sort of thing. We made quite the list and felt we were unlikely to get everything done in the allocated 3 hours. We were quite pleasantly surprised when the list was completed in only half the time!

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Red-rock, TX

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
