"I called Appliance Doctor as a result of being dissatisfied with the previous repair company. I had called Mary's Appliances before because my oven wasn't working. Nothing worked except the burners (range). They came out and repaired the oven...sort of. After they left, I discovered that although the oven was working, the broiler wasn't, so I called them back because it had only been partially repaired. However, their view was that I had only told them that the oven wasn't working; I hadn't mentioned the broiler; therefore, for them to come out again would be a new service call. I thought this was unfair; I had no idea that fixing the oven wouldn't fix the broiler also. After a bit of arguing, they said if they came out again, they'd waive the $65 service call but not the repair fee. I was not happy with their service, so I looked elsewhere, and that's when I found Appliance Doctor. Even paying for the service call with Appliance Doctor was the same price as Mary's Appliance was with the service call fee waived, so I definitely preferred to try someone I might like as opposed to someone I knew I didn't like. Everything went well -- the repair person came out on time and promptly fixed the broiler, and he was pleasant to deal with. After he was done, I asked him: "If I had called you and told you the oven was broken, and you came and fixed it, and I called you back and said the broiler still wasn't working, would you charge me to come back out and fix it?" He replied, "No, I would not charge you for the service call. I would charge you for the part, but not the call." *That's* what I would expect from an appliance repair service, not the treatment I got from Mary's Appliance. Recently, my washer needed to be repaired, and remembering my good experience with Appliance Doctor, I called them to ask them to come out and fix my washer. Sadly, they no longer service my area."
