"The technicians were great. Prompt, extremely professional and very informative. They did a fantastic job, explained the avg. lifespan of parts, and walked me through a few scenarios. My door works great now. The only hiccup is I was quoted $185 on the phone for all parts and service based on an Angie's list deal they had up yesterday (which I see was taken down the day of service). I made sure to inquire on the phone about whether this included both springs, and any and all work and was told "yes" but that price might vary a little based on the size of the door. I'm very careful about these things, and had notes from my call. When they arrived I was initially told it would be $485 (2 springs + labor). When I balked and explained what I was told, they contacted the office and came back with $259. I needed the door fixed, so I paid it, but a 40% increase over what what was listed is not "a little bit" higher. I have no problem paying a fair price for a job well done, but I do take issue with confusing and drastically varying prices, particularly since I'm on a tight budget. I would consider using Ace in the future as the quality of work and service were great, but would make sure I had something in writing first on price to avoid confusion for both parties. Any Angie's List discounts should probably also be clarified further."
