"When you want to get a tree removed, look no further than Brandywine Tree and Shrub. I contacted Mark along with five other companies to get an estimate. Brandywine tree was the lowest bid with a crane. I had gotten two lower bids but those companies were going to do it by hand and they didn’t seem very safe to me. I decided to go with Brandywine Tree and Shrub because of how knowledgeable they were and how well Mark and John explained everything to me. This company worked with me and assured me that the safest way to remove that gigantic tree was with a crane. They were so right, and I felt that I absolutely made the right decision. The tree which belonged to my neighbor was an Oak Tree that stood over a 100 ft. in the air and the huge branches hang dangerously over my roof. The neighbor was not financially able to cut the tree and since it was hanging 80% on my side, I decided it was safer to pay to cut it down than for it to fall and risk the lives of myself, my husband and my kids. For two years since we bought that house, we had anxiety and we were worried sick that the tree was going to fall on our home. Brandywine Tree and Shrub removed the tree in about 9 hours on Tuesday, and by Friday we had a Nor’easter with very high winds. A lot of trees fell in the neighborhood. According to the news, seven people died in the States that were affected and all were because of fallen trees. Two children died while they were asleep in bed. This made me realize that this could have been my family. I am so grateful to Brandywine Tree and Shrub for fitting me in their schedule to remove that monstrous tree. The team was very professional and they worked safely and effectively. They blew all the leaves from my lawn, raked and cleared all the debris and left my yard spotless. My family can finally sleep without worrying about that humongous tree. The place looks so much nicer and we are much safer because of a company that cared and delivered on everything they promised. "The tree trimming was done in one afternoon. Trees looked great and all the debris was removed. The removal of the 21 trees was done in stages. All trees were felled and the light branches were ground in one day. The stumps were ground a day or two later. About a week later the logs were removed and the holes left by the stumps were filled. This work was done in January so we had some weather delays. Strobert employees worked quickly and safely removed our trees with no damage to our property other than some ruts in the grass which they fix. We were well please with their work and the price."

"The first job was for our Church in and around buildings, walls and cemetery, for Christ Church corner of State and Water streets downtown Dover.  It was a major job in difficult environs, several of the trees were over 70 feet and amongst tombstones, and along a fragile wall.  I received 5 bids, one which was 5 times the amount we paid Two Bears.  Two Bears was the lowest bidder.  The job took some time, but was impacted by winter weather (reason for B in punctuality), and for the price I was quick to say take your time, because I was concerned over safety and damages.  There was one minor damage, and Two Bears took complete responsibility.  Clean up was complete and work was done in accordance with our agreement.  Concern for safety and damage was apparent.  I cannot impress the reader enough with the difficulty in removing these large trees among walls, buildings and tombstones.  Two Bears maintained immediate and professional contact with me throughout this major contract.
The second job was around my home, Old Mill Acres II, removing 7/8th of a large Barlette Pear, and elevating 4 large oaks and a River Birch.  Job was completed in one day as promised even though the team worked into the evening.  Price was more than fair.

"Value - A, Communication - D Short version: Chris Fox is great but I got frustrated with not knowing if/when he was coming. Details: Chris Fox designed and installed my irrigation 5 years ago and helped me get a well. I was very happy with everything and felt it was a good value. At that time, I rated his company as an "A" and recommended him to my neighbors. Since then he has been doing annual and ad hoc maintenance on the irrigation system he installed. My only issue has been communication. I leave voicemails that may or may not get answered with a call back. Chris may then show up without an appointment and try to do what is needed without talking to me, leaving a note, or leaving a voice mail. For my last inquiry, after my second voicemail, I got a voicemail response from a nice lady that said he had been here and did not see the issue. So is not that he isn't making the effort to do the requested work. Rather he does not tell me so I usually have no idea if he got the message, if/when he is planning to come. I would consider using Chris Fox again if he kept me better informed,"

"Company did a really great job.  I thought the price quote was extremely competitive compared to another I had received from the year before for a similar but smaller job.  There was no damage to other shrubs and I didn't have to do any other cleanup.  Contractor was always good about answering my calls.  The only issue at all was getting the job scheduled.  It was pushing 6 or 7 weeks before they could come out (due to weather and other issues).  I was about to give up and start the contractor search again when they finally did do the job.  In the end, I was glad I stuck it out.  I'd definitely use them again in the future.  Good find for Bethany area."
